Hi pepper!
Thanks for saying. I keep meaning to start a new thread over here,'cos this one is too long.
Then I think what I do is not really tropical and shouldn't be here!
It's hard for me to find tropical plants to use at this time of year, but cheers anyway with a tropical cocktail!

Belated Happy Mother's Day Terri!

Good luck with your pineapple top! I have some that I am hoping will fruit this year! They'll be two years old....so it is a little earlier than the first one...it was three years old. Basically treat it like a bromeliad...that's the family they are in.

Talking about "pineapple lady", I have a blue muumuu that has white pineapples all over it from Hawaii that the kids thinks "fits" that title! It's my favorite garden attire. It's so lightweight and cool to wear....so comfy! It is made by Royal Creations; Goes well with my "little Hawaii theme"!

Very nice, Jeanne. My sagos are doing very well this winter. These last freezes I hope won't do them in.

WOW, How fantastic are those! Thankyou so much for taking the pictures Kim, they are spectacular.
I bet you would need a truck load of flowers to make something like that!

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Are they fun or what?
They have security for the "trash" not a petal to be had...all went to the dump:(

A wonderful riot of colour, I love it! Thankyou.
I can't believe they trashed them, that is sad, it must take hours to put together those displays.

kimarj, those pictures were fantastic, thanks for sharing!

terri, I think they used your creations as their inspiration. I'm always so excited to see this thread pop up, wondering what new exotica you've come up with!

Cathy

I agree with Cathy. They could have had a small auction for the plants and given the money to charity. What a waste.
