Oh and I love lighthouses. We have one down in the Ozarks that I want to visit one day.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Don`t forget your camera when you do go .

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

That I won't. If a trip is planned I remember the camera.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Do you remember all my Light Houst Pics . from The Fireplace Forum ?

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Yeah, vaguely.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Flat battery on Camera .

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Cool!! Mine are just poking up. The ones that have are going pretty fast. The others I am still waiting on. May put the saran wrap, also known as shrink wrap, back on there so I don't have to water every day.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Post some of your garden Pics to share .

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

I need to take some new ones. I will try to do it tomorrow. Dark outside now. It also depends on how hot it is tomorrow. If it's hot I will be tired when I get home and won't feel up to it.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Show us some of your old ones ?

Sweet .
We call those timbers in the retaining wall ,
' Railway sleepers .'
I think you call them something else .

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Yes, we also call them railroad ties. We also have landscaping timbers that we used for walls. Our yard is terraced in places because when we moved in it was eroding really bad. It needed to be built up and that was the only way to do it. Then we needed to backfill around the foundation so we terrarced on the sides a little. Still have alot to do after 10 yrs but we have made major progress.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

The first Pic . looks great .
What time of year was that from ?
Lawn looks soft and sweet .

KC Metro area, MO(Zone 6a)

Looks like some type of bird, maybe???

Livermore, CA(Zone 9b)

I hope its a bird...... it's not a snake is it? I'm terribly afraid of snakes, thank god I've never come across one in the yard, I would scream and pee my pants!

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

It appears to have legs like a Duck sort off .
Any way , When and if it returns , I will take some more Snaps .
Monday for you ppl in US .
I`m already well into tuesday .
Looks like it`s going to be a good one .

Livermore, CA(Zone 9b)

I hope it was a good one Ginger... our Monday is coming to a close it's 7:45. Daughter just finished a soccer game (she spent most of the time learning a dance from one of the other girls on her team - they were completely oblivious to the game going on around them) I'm glad their coaches thought it was funny.... Supposed to start raining here tomorrow, we'll se. Night all - gotta get the billy lids to bed!

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Don`t let the bed bugs bight !!!

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

Ya'll are going to laugh, but my first thought when I saw the creature under the porch pics was-"It looks like penguins"

Australian Penguins? lol

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

We are not laughing .
You might be right yet .
I`ll see tonight .

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

Not trying to give you a hard time, but could you bend down just a few inches more so we can the heads on those things? lol

Really, though, good luck-

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

What I do is sneak out on the porch,
Hang the camera over the edge
and hope I am pointing the camera in the right direction .
It`s pot luck . I`m trying again to night .
Wish me luck . How is your Mea cat project going ?
Is it finished Yet ?

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

OH DARN! I forgot to take a picture of it! It's at DD's school library now. We made him out of a soymilk container, sticks, foam pieces, paper bag, and a birdhouse gourd head. I'm sure no one else had to use a drill to make theirs!

When the meerkat comes back I'll try to remember to take a pic. It was more sculptural than anything

SO I guess those things hide if you walk near the bottom of the house..

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

They just run to the other side of under the house .
Too far to take any Pics . All I get then is House stumps .
Meerkat sounds great . How long did it take to complete ?
Was it grey or brown ? Painted eyes or stick on ?

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

Gosh, don't remember how long, not too long-I'm not one of those parents that goes way overboard-lol. I think it took us longer to determine our materials than anything. The head was drilled and put on, the stick arms and legs were put on with packing tape (so were the ears), and the eyes were made of foam pieces glued on. It was many colors, as I did not feel like painting the thing-that soymilk jug would'nt have held paint well.

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

Well I`m looking forward to seeing some pics. of it .

Livermore, CA(Zone 9b)

they do look like penguins!

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)

I`m hoping they are .

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

Brisvegas, Australia(Zone 12b)
