This plant really is this intense...we couldn't believe it. I think this beats any blue flower I have seen to-date.

Sensational - they couldn't be more blue if they'd been painted!!!!!

Willmetge; What an incredible blue. I absolutely NEED that plant in my garden. I looked up cinararea in plant files and came up empty. Should I research another name. I am a new gardner so please excuse me if my question(s) are clumsey. But I must have that plant!! Can you tell me where and what to order?? Thank you.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

It's Cineraria, Daiseycat. Plant Files has nothing, but here are some Google images:

Beautiful blues, Willmetge. Do you know the name of the Verbena? It's really striking. And I love that big swath of flax.

Yes, blue foliage is okay, Dale, and so is "not perennial," so no "oops" necessary.

Assonet, MA(Zone 6b)

Thank you Zuzu. Not perennial darn, darn, darn. Will have to live without. :(

West Pottsgrove, PA(Zone 6b)

There are Cineraria in plantfiles, not sure but the extreme blue ones I see are usually Pericallis hybrids, with Cineraria being a synonym? Maybe it's an older name for the genus or plants have been re-classified, I don't know. I have to agree with willmetge, they're the bluest flowers I've ever seen, maybe the bluest thing period! Or possibly Delphiniums...

Daiseycat, here's one that's more likely to be a perennial than the florist cinerarias. At any rate, these reseed like crazy, so they might as well be perennials. I hope this link works.

Diane, I love the look of that birdbath/planter.

Zuzu; You just brightened up my "blue" day. Thanks again. Have a great day.

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

The verbena was mislabeled as 'Burgandy.' So I'm not sure the variety. I'm growing Verbena 'Blue Lagoon' from Thompson & Morgan (http://seeds.thompson-morgan.com/us/en/product/8747/1) to hopefully get the same blue this year. They claim it is the best true blue that they've grown in their trials. Verbena is an annual here, but I posted it anyway because I know it is perennial for many. I did not realize that the Cineraria was an annual. That one was grown by our local botanical garden.

West Pottsgrove, PA(Zone 6b)

Some of them are considered 'tender perennials'.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

Hey, please look at my first post in this thread, where I say I'm going to cheat by including bulbs and annuals. If I can do it, so can everyone else. I even included a photo of my blue-eyed cat in the garden in my blue thread two years ago.

West Pottsgrove, PA(Zone 6b)

Haha...I figured I was cheating 'cuz my picture's from an indoor conservatory... There's a thread in the Bulbs forum about a rumored new blue daffodil, of all things.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

willmetge - your plant was mislabeled in two ways if they called it "Burgandy", too!

Pirlie, I love those Irises and the Hydrangea.

Tampa, FL(Zone 10a)

I saw two blue geraniums (pelargonium) at http://plants.thompson-morgan.com/uk/product/4192/1 but, I always suspect that it is trick photography using a color filter. They only ship plant to the UK.

Fayetteville, NC(Zone 8a)

pirl, those are absolutely perfect flowers.

Thanks, Zuzu and Diane. I love them, too.
