Midwest Lilies

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

This is one B and B sent me a free bulb of a couple years ago to evaluate. Suppose to be a short red, but it's more pink in this heat. Not a favorite.

Hmmm, I don't have any blooms yet, lots of buds though.

So many gorgeous blooms! My Lilies are just beginning to blossom...pictures soon.

Oh goodie ~ we always like more pics.

Susan ~ I really like your Peach Pixie.

This is Spark. It's supposed to be pink and cream so I'm not too sure I like how this one came out.

Yeah!! I got a lily blooming finally. Its a yellow Pixie. Cloudy today...so its color in the picture is dull...sorry.

I like Sparks, but would like it better cream. Maybe it fades to cream. I think all the Pixie ones are nice. Here is my Peach Pixie again.

I'm not very crazy about Latvia.

Black Jack is looking very red as it tries to open. Must be the cool weather today. It was much darker last year.

This is a new one this year that I thought would look good with Black Jack, but with BJ being so red it doesn't. I like it anyway! It's Loreto.

Oooh I love Peach Pixie, Black Jack and Loreto.

I find Black Jack very difficult to photograph ~ there is always a sheen to it making it look too light. I thought it was looking 'blacker' this year but the pic doesn't show it.

My Black Jack is looking better today, but still redder than last year. I am loving Loreto.

Spring Pink is developing a tiny purple edge with the cooler weather.

And I'm starting to like Latvia better as the yellow fades a little.

Here's a beautiful lily made even better by being a poly.

Very cheery ~ I can see why you've continued to grow it. My Aphrodite is a ways from blooming.

Moby, I especially loved your "Early Rose".

Well, you would think after spending almost 300.00, I'd have a working camera. But no, I'm still waiting for a replacement. But here are web pics of more blooms that just opened.

Terrace City - just tiny little blooms. I've been waiting 3 years. Looks much nicer in person

Orange Pixie Asiatic - This one is about 2' this year and has 8 stems, one with 8 blooms. I don't recall it being this tall last year.

Sure hope you get your camera back before lily season is out. :)

It's been one thing after another. First the camera, then the sewer line and then the virused lily. I'm hoping by next week I'll have a replacement. I ordered it from Kodak and, while the price was good, it's been a real pain with delivery and pickup. Everything has to be done in person and requires signatures. I finally talked UPS into leaving the original camera with a neighbor. What a hassle. I don't think I'd order something like this again for delivery.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I really like the deep color of Rhodes. Desert Song just started blooming for me too. I like it's creamy orange color.

Orania is popping a lot of buds open today. For me it has just a hint of apricot around the edges. I am thinking of moving either Desert Song or my Pure and Simple daylily next to it this fall. Seems to need something to pick up that apricot color and bring it out more.

I still have some that are short ~ thankfully! ~ because things are blooming a little too early, too fast for me.
