Hello Everyone,
Sorry I missed the Party, maybe next time.
Thanks Dave for having all of us.

Welcome to the Southwest Gardening discussion forum!
Hey! Great forum! Glad I stumbled my way here.
Milos! Good to see ya!
WarriorAnt, you might have better luck starting a new thread in the SW gardening forum, or doing a search in the plantfiles. Sorry, that's the best I can do, being newish myself!
So this is where everyone has been hanging out! I hope you just forgot to tell me and weren't really trying to ditch me. ;-) Good to see all the familiar names from Arizona again. Not much happening back on the old forum.
Cheers!!
aztreelvr, Glad ya found us! Welcome!
aka Garden_trolip :)
You are right Treelvr..... Not much going on in the old forum... never a big poster.... but a constant lurker.... anything I can pick up....LoL. So glad to see some bird enthusiasts, and pond people....Think we'll hear some bat talk?
Oh gosh, aztreelvr! Never in a million years would we intentionally leave you! I thought someone said that they had tried to email you... maybe I was wrong about that.
We're glad you are here!
Eva
Speaking of bats, anyone have a clue on how i can attract some and keep them near by???
The way for me to attract bats here is to hang Hummer feeders out and they are stripped by morning. Jo
Thanks Jo I have every intention of hanging some humming bird feeders out. I would like to keep the bats around so they can eat the enormous amount of insects we have at night.
Omigosh no Cathy - when the best tree advice comes from you? I don't think so!
As to the other forum... well, I'm back there picking a fight and will stay around only as long as at makes him miserable.
>evil grin<
And bats - marie, have you got a bat house yet? I've seen them at the wild bird stores or on line. Actually, if you or DH are handy at all, they don't seem to be high tech - just make sure you don't put it in a sunny spot or you'll have fried bat for breakfast... ewwwww.....
Yuck! No I do not want bat breakfast and no I did not think of a bat house but I will now look into it. I only have another month to be outdoors (maybe not even that long before the bugs are so bad and we are trapped in the house!!! I will take any other suggestions you all have also!
I called Pet Mart thinking they may have a lead on where you could buy one locally... but no luck. Did a quick search and came up with nothing.... didn't have a lot of time.... if you come up with a source please let us know.
If you Google-search "bat house" you will get several sellers with various models, and also plans for the do-it-yourselfer. I have not had any experience with these sellers myself.
