I'm in AZ 8b, near Yarnell. This is an O'Henry that I planted bare-root 3.5 years ago, and this is the first year we have loads of fruit. Right next to it is a Veteran planted at the same time with even more fruit but does not have this problem. The fruit are currently about walnut size. It looks like something is eating at the just skin on many of the fruit, but I can't find any critters. It doesn't look pecked at, it looks more like the skin is scraped. See pic. I can provide more pics if needed.
What\'s Wrong With My Young Peaches?
More info : It almost looks the same as when we had slugs getting into our garden in Oregon when I was a kid. Also, when this scabs over, there is some crystallized residue, like sugar or something.
