Scooterbug, thanks for defining SDB. (And for another iris link!)

Tazzy, I am really taken with that "Vingolf" as well as the "Hawaiian Holiday" ! How large is your garden? Mine can be as large as I can stand to weed, as we live on a dairy farm, and are rich in land (or rather, "land poor")

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

City lot with no grass except in flower bed needing weeding .
I was comical for years but just cant dig except when I feel good so i close at one time i had over 800 iris here . watch where you step LOL

They are beautiful! They are short and early to bloom but they are so beautiful they really add a lot to my garden! I have them in several places and the color adjusts a little bit according to the sun they receive! Isn't that interesting!

Lastly, a new addition I got from an old homestead in Ala. that belonged to a friend's mother that loved Iris...it is the palest lavendar I have ever seen, it almost white with just a tinge of lavendar...very genteel!

I'd send you some, but I kinda "overshared " last year and my poor clump is recovering. Great Intermediate & the rosy pink tones are a kicker.
