Scooterbug -
Don't have the 'Black Dragon strain', but L. leucanthum and L. regale are VERY similiar and cost less (especially L regale) from The Lily Garden.

Wow! Thanks for the great links Brenda. Close enough !
I've not grown trumpets before but after seeing some in a garden nearby , I must try a few next year.
TNX
I put in the L. leucanthum and L. regale both this year - went duh! when I realized how similar they are. Oh, well, they're very pretty!
I do that with pinks and yellow asiatics Laura! Oh well is right....they're all beautiful!
I grow some black dragon and still have a couple small bulbs I'd be willing to share.
Lilyfan, I would love a couple.
I thought I answered last night
* Note to self ............Hit SEND button * ...... DUH!
TIA
They will start your way Friday! You are very welcome, can never feed those addictions enough!
Watch out for Lilyfan--she sent me so many bulbs that my back still hurts a week later! Oohhh. I thought I'd rest & recover, but Alice's coop arrived this week. Dig I must! (All nicely labeled for you poachers...)

Uh-Oh ! ;-)
Tnx for the warning Wanda , not to worry tho, the ol' spade is still warmed up.
. . . . . . . . . . . and this warning comes from "Wanda The Enabler" ? ? ? ........ that's rich .................. LOL
Arrrgh !
I lost tags from 3 of my fancy-schmancy iris' that I ordered last summer in a fit of "Midnight Online Spending Frenzies"
Hope they 'work-out' where I planted them.
"Fancy-smancy" iris? Wow! Can't wait to see the photos!
It is soo warm outside (80 degrees!) --I want to run home and roll in my muddy garden!
I did.... ;)
Wanda .. now?
or after they bloom ?....... lololol
I was told very firmly at the GA round-up that a true gardener never travels without a shovel....
Shovel, clippers and plastic bags.
Don't leave home without 'em .
;-P
hee hee Hand spade and bucket, at the very least. And a Snakelight to hang around neck for nighttime pilfering...
Moby, you're a person after my own heart.. I was just thinking they left out the bucket and the flashlight... then I read your reply
...a miner's light would be even better, hands free and out of the way!!
Now there ya go, kooger! that would work just great!! Moby, you bring the bucket, kooger, you bring the miners light, and I will bring the poachin' shovel... I love night maneuvers... :))
iowaron,
you can count on me to cover the east. i'll be coming in from massachusetts. give me an extra days time though. the thing i don't understand though is............why don't we go in now before she plants all those bulbs, nab those and then hit the garden beds?
debi z and my little lily bulb 'naping doggie, franklin
You know, I'm going to need LOUD alarms & electric fences to keep the lot of you out! LOL maybe I can mobilize the neighbors....
Well gang, looks like the jig is up, we'll just have to forget our plans to go moonlighting in Cedar Rapids. Wanda's on to us, so we'll just have to do something else......We've been outsmarted I guess.
(wink wink)
Iowaron
pssst, ron, think we can bribe the neighbors? ...one of us goes to the front door and poses as a bulb salesman that offers free bulbs with first order... then the rest.... oops, I think she's looking... da da da da..
Gather 'round me mateys, 'cause I've just learned a bit of information that might prove to be very valuable to our "non-mission" in Cedar Rapids. In the Welcome Mat Forum, Number_1_Angel thread, check out the entry by our pal Linda_Iowa.
'Nuff said. Shhhhh
Iowaron
PS: Make that the November 2 entry by Linda_Iowa
psssttt....She's coming to Nebraska in Nov. so I'll keep her busy while you all 'clean house'.... shhhh
Hmmm. Me thinks some mischief is afoot....
No way!! Gee, I just realized it's November already, so when are you coming?? ;)
ROFLOL ...
Lilyfan,

aaaaaand ....Taaa-Daaaa ............
.........................My very own Naked Lady
.......Whhooopeee !
Oh yeah,
...................Not to forget ,some beautiful greeting cards with lovely flowers made by lilyfan =)
WOO HOOOOO!! Lucky you!

'Kansas' asiatic
'Dancing Eyes' asiatic (2 bulbs)
'Amarillo' asiatic (huge, huge, huge bulb)
'White Elf' asiatic (3 bulbs)

Is that not totally awesome? I was totally thunderstruck - this is "would you like a few extra bulbs I have?" Gardening pals are the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not thank you enough. I get choked up when I think of your generosity, Sue! You are a great asset to the gardening community!! And gosh, I almost forgot the pack of notecards with pictures of her flowers! Another THANK-YOU!!!!!!

2 lucky dogs!
kooger, that is awesome! congratulations... wanna do some trades in a couple of years? I have some of the best horse poop I can trade... it is so good that I should patent the formula... :)
scooterbug, kooger,
I'm so happy the packages arrived safely. There is a great joy in sharing all of our blooming beauties with others, I'm so pleased that you allowed me to share with you.
Today I'm going to try and get all the walnut sized bulbs in the nursery bed so I'll have more to trade next year. It actually looks like the sun might shine today, What a blessing that will be.
Just want everyone to know that Wanda was the inspiration behind those notecards, after receiving hers I just had to pass the tradition along.
Wow - you guys got some good ones. I just bought Kansas from Canada this fall . Hope we see pics in the PDB next year from you guys!
WARNING...........TAKE HEED !
If someone comes to your front door saying they are conducting a
survey on deer ticks and asks you to take your clothes off and dance
around to shake off the ticks, DO NOT DO IT!
IT IS A SCAM; they only want to distract you while others are busy snaggin' your prized bulbs.........
I wish I'd gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid now...
ROFL, Scooter!!! That got my day going!
Is that who that guy was, scooter? I sent him packing!!
LOL!
