Don't have the 'Black Dragon strain', but L. leucanthum and L. regale are VERY similiar and cost less (especially L regale) from The Lily Garden.

I've not grown trumpets before but after seeing some in a garden nearby , I must try a few next year.

I put in the L. leucanthum and L. regale both this year - went duh! when I realized how similar they are. Oh, well, they're very pretty!

I do that with pinks and yellow asiatics Laura! Oh well is right....they're all beautiful!

I grow some black dragon and still have a couple small bulbs I'd be willing to share.

Lilyfan, I would love a couple.

I lost tags from 3 of my fancy-schmancy iris' that I ordered last summer in a fit of "Midnight Online Spending Frenzies"
Hope they 'work-out' where I planted them.

you can count on me to cover the east. i'll be coming in from massachusetts. give me an extra days time though. the thing i don't understand though is............why don't we go in now before she plants all those bulbs, nab those and then hit the garden beds?

Is that not totally awesome? I was totally thunderstruck - this is "would you like a few extra bulbs I have?" Gardening pals are the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not thank you enough. I get choked up when I think of your generosity, Sue! You are a great asset to the gardening community!! And gosh, I almost forgot the pack of notecards with pictures of her flowers! Another THANK-YOU!!!!!!

I'm so happy the packages arrived safely. There is a great joy in sharing all of our blooming beauties with others, I'm so pleased that you allowed me to share with you.

Today I'm going to try and get all the walnut sized bulbs in the nursery bed so I'll have more to trade next year. It actually looks like the sun might shine today, What a blessing that will be.

Just want everyone to know that Wanda was the inspiration behind those notecards, after receiving hers I just had to pass the tradition along.

Wow - you guys got some good ones. I just bought Kansas from Canada this fall . Hope we see pics in the PDB next year from you guys!
