Des Moines Lily Society Sale

Alwaysweeding & I ran over to Des Moines for the fall bulb sale of the Lily Society. Iowaron & lilyfan were there just to help us get further addicted to lilies. Nothing like DG friends top get me deeper in trouble!

I bought MORE despite that a big bag of bulbs from lilyfan are out in the garage.And tigerlilies from Brecks in their box. And the co-op order hasn't arrived yet. HELP! My garden is going to look like swiss cheese before I'm done!

Take a sneaky peek at the attached picture. Don't let Wanda See It Though!! These little "poachin' shovels" are getting ready for a ride to Wanda's garden this spring. Of course we'll all have our black silk capes and masks on and work by the light of the moon...Who else wants to come along?

OK, so far we have fsr333 on lookout and tazzy taking care of Walker the Wonder dog, Moby and Kooger will be coming in from the West, Langbr and Llilyfan sweeping up from the South, and Notmartha will be invading from the North, so the plan is coming together nicely. :-)

We could have notmartha take the south route around L.Mich., that would cover the east. Then scootebug or another WI-ite could cover the north! more than one way to skin a cat...... We could immobilize her with duct tape (I've got a full roll!) - we'd be looooong gone before she could get free! nyut, nyut, nyut!

We might have to ask Alwaysweeding or Julierock to kinda stroll past Wanda's Garden and see if the windows have been boarded up or if there is a for sale sign out front. It's not like Wanda to go somwhere without telling us. You don't suppose she'd still be hiding out in her garden amongst the naked Ladies?

I hate to say this, But I can't remember all the Lilies I picked up at the sale. The poor things have joined the ones from Lilyfan and Teresa in my garage. oh. And Maxine threw a bunch at me too!
