We got 2.5 inches of slushy snow here in Davenport today!
A clipper came through, and it was a beautiful snow event, the third earliest we've received in many years.
Awoke at 2 am to a freezing rain storm
Temperature 28 to 34 degrees .
Wind about the same at 2 to 6 mph ,
Weather station in town says it is lightly snowing (i cannot see it if it is )
Ice skates and Sleds !!! ,,, ^_^
Went and looked again ,, it is Snowing !!!

We had frost, got down to 31 overnight. Warmed up to around 50 and sunshine. Didn't feel too bad but still needed a jacket. More of the same tomorrow.
Right now I have old man Whiskers sleeping on the small pillow that sits on the chair behind my back. So I can't sit back unless I move him. lol.

We are a cool 61° this morning....and I was actually getting cold while outside waiting for the dog to do her business this morning..LOL. I'm with Kelli, hard to be sitting here in shorts and flip flops and thinking of people with snow and ice already.

Still very little wind, a few overnight showers. Forecast for this coming weekend - possible showers with southerly drift bring moisture up from the tropics, but muggy, windless, hot, cloudy 80s, generally uncomfortable plus VOG. This tropical humid weather sure keeps things growing. Miss those fall temps.
We supposedly reached 51 for a high but there wasn't much difference between that and the 45 it was at noon today. lol. Spent the morning condensing trees and bushes down onto fewer pallets and ended up with 16 empty pallets to move inside. Am hurting pretty good tonight. lol
Under a freeze warning for tonight. Will get in high 20s.

Thunderstorms last night. Just love that nighttime lightening. Nice thing was it was not right overhead. It seemed to be centered right over the active volcano. Raw nature at its best.
