Morning Glories 2013 #06

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

We came from here http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1323482

Still waiting on blooms from most of mine.
This is supposed to be Helena's blue on blue star, looks like a lovely Silky Blue.
I love it Helena. My favorite shade of blue

Jackie, pretty color, glad you like it. I was hoping that that one was one of Karen's2005 blue with a darker blue star. But anyway keep an eye on it. It was a nice big bloom when I grew it.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is a beautiful blue!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena and Linda. I'm very happy with it even if it doesn't make a star.

Love your blooms too Helena. All my vines were soaked this morning again.
I was tired so didn't carry them to the shed or greenhouse, Big mistake.
Now they've had too much rain like yours. Hope I don't lose them.

szarvas, Hungary

1 - Those flowers are not simply split purpreas !
2 - Twins ....hmm ! .. true twins!
3 - Small Fuji no Monet , half sterile .... always ready for crossing.

Gautier, MS

Dany, wow, all gorgeous!

(Zone 7a)

Dany, I love the way those purps twinkle out from the leaves - like stars. Makes me think of "Ah, vous dirai-je maman" (Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star).

Beautiful blooms Debra, Linda and Ronnie. Enjoyed seeing them all, mine are winding down.

(Zone 7a)

Ditto to Helen, but mine are winding up and buds only beginning to show. 'Pooter also won't upload images since it was "fixed" after the last crash. Thank you for a very pretty start to the day, everyone.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Gorgeous blooms Debra, Linda and Ronnie.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I love that berlin blue... the lav beauty is really crisp and cool looking, and is that a mauve i nil there?
LK you have some really special blooms today, too.. gee hard to choose favs I think they are all beautiful//

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra. I hope Berlin Blue makes lots of sd pods.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I just planted the ones u sent me last night, Jackie.

Gautier, MS

Pretty blooms Jackie, glad Berlin Blue is blooming for you.

Yesterday I took several pictures of my son's neighbors mg's, still blooming around 2:20 (I think). Found 2 seed pods with only 3 little seeds, but good enough for me.

I hope they do well for you Debra.
I'm still planting too.

Helena, is that indica? I think that's how it looks later in the day. The
bars become more pronounced. Glad you harvested a few sds from it.

Dany's lovely #8

1st bloom from no Sora cross , but like most of the sds I gathered from the cross, they are making the regular Fuji no Sora blooms :-(
I have one more of these sds planted so one more chance to get the cross.
bloom.
3rd pic showing the cross as it bloomed in 09.

Your blooms are very pretty Jackie.

I was kind of hoping that would be indica but still unsure. The leaves are kind of heartshaped & some not quite but I thought one of the seed pods was facing down, though I didn't have my glasses on.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, I'll try to get a pic of mine soon. I have 2 that I call indica. One has heart shaped lvs and the other one doesn't. The blooms are pretty
much identical.

(Zone 7a)

To all - I put a direct link to sheet music & recordings to Mozart's "Twinkle twinkle little star" that Dany's MGs reminded me of here - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=9609346

Copyrights have expired for old editions of many composers, and this is a great website for accessing music that is free and open domain.

What's a garden without a little music?

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

very nice, Dany... extreme colors.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Dany, those are beautiful!

(Zone 7a)

The different tones of blue seem to give your blue mg a 3rd dimension - enough to glide across in a gondola

The reds are extreme indeed - I can hear a fiddle playing The Devil in Georgia - http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy-ab&q=%22Devil+in+Georgia%22&oq=%22Devil+in+Georgia%22&gs_l=hp.12..0l3j0i22i30.45235.45235.1.58813.1.1.0.0.0.0.984.984.6-1.1.0....0...1c.1.22.psy-ab..11.7.12921.oKZrZlvrEp0&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.49784469,d.eWU&fp=69e29e98e647428a&biw=800&bih=403

Gautier, MS

szarvas, Hungary

Beautiful cultivar .... and today a totally different flower !
Sniff ...sniff ... no stigma !

This kind of purpurea could also be with six stars !

4 - Blue water .
