SORRY Was about to Go out the Drive When UPS was coming up it . so then I got side tracked with a box & then it was already
4;30 PM & BY TIME I would have gotten to town the post office would have been closed . so I Will go early tomorrow :)

Whoopee!!! It's as good as on its way!

I'm sitting surrounded by seeds. Some are packets from last year I won't be using again, both commercial and from trades, some are newly labelled from this year's harvest, and some are still drying. It's pouring outside which is the only reason I'm in here, but I've finally finished all the sorting I hadn't gotten to before now.

So my collecting is about done for the season. Between the frost and the rain, I don't think there's much out there any more, except for the few still blooming. I 'm leaving in the morning, won't be here again until 10/26. I will check again for Verbena Bonariensis and Salvia Snow Hill, which are still going strong. The salvia in particular has set very few seeds up until now, just keeps flowering like mad. I looked near the bottom of the stem where the pods seemed more brown, but very little is coming out.

Next task: Divvy up the requests and get that organized, then finish packaging the rest. So exciting! I'm near the beginning, should see the robin really soon!

By the way, I'd like to be in the 2nd round. I'm dying to see what everyone adds after me!

Does anyone know what Joe Pye Weed seeds look Locke?! I can't find a picture anywhere, and it's very confusing!

I have the chocolate kind- it has little tufts on the end like an aster, but more in small clusters like lettuce. Hope that helps- I can probably post a pic thurs. I work today and tomorrow- dark when I leave, dark when I get home:)

Hiddey Hey it's on it's way!!!! Can't wait--even though the wait will be a loooonnnnng one for me(next to last on the list)! And being my first time participating in something like this , the anticipation will drive me crazy with wonder as to what I will find when it finally gets here!!! Well about time to get ready to go to "Christmas town" for the day. At least it's not raining any more!! Have a great day all!

GM MY Friends Waiting for the sun to clean off the frost from my windows & Enjoying my morning coffee . I found a few more seeds that I had forgot in the robin so will go reopen the robin for the 3rd time & include them also :) .

so will be leaving here in a hour or so will post when I get back .

There is actually 31 on the list. So I figure with shipping days and going thru the box it should be back to deejay in about 124 days. Anyone else got a guess?

Evening everyone was a very Busy day Just now got a chance to sit :) Super On the stove " CHILI "

Robin in the air , Shirley Your Bulbs should be there tomorrow UPS .
USPS Was going to be $23, so I went with UPS Hope your ok with that .

Took all my BRUGS & Bulbs Over to my friends place & Using her basement for the winter :))
so they are all tucked in :)

then came home helped big brother put a roof over my Patio got it half done
my fat free Chilli is done so off to Dine . back later

I'll guess 128 days.

Ya'll are gonna think I'm off my rocker, have too much time to think, or quite possibly both.

Here's what I came up with last week while thinking about how long it would take for the Robin to return to its nest.

31 players X 2 days average for Priority Mail X 3 days max for each of us to review the Robin = 186 days (April 20th).
Cut that by 20 days since some of you may be able to hand the box off in person, or keep it less than 3 days = 166 days (March 31st).
By excluding our inability to mail on the 6 Holidays and 24 Sundays between now and March 31st = 136 days (March 1st).

After all that -- > Friday, March 1st is my guess.

Just wait there will be snow storms and ice storms and people making all sorts of excuses for not mailing.........so The Robin lands back home 2 days after Mother's Day on May 14th. I really hope I lose this game :)

So true about increment weather, Donna. Hadn't thought about that or folks being sick or on vacation or .....

I made Pumpkin Pie Bars today, from a Krusteaz boxed mix. Haven't eaten one, but hubs did and said it was tasty. Their Lemon Bars are very good. Sometimes I make them in a muffin tin and add an Orange slice to the middle of each one, nice and tart and aren't ultra sickeningly sweet.

Got a special package from Shirley (sbish5)...thankyou so very much....

I just took pix of Eupatorium joicus which is varigated Joe Pye weed, which blooms white, so far are 48", though this is the first year for bloom and considering the drought will have to see next year true height, and yes the seeds do in fact have a tuft on them.. Will try to download pix when I can...also when the box gets to me I will be including.

How about you get the box back, LOL.

My guess was May 14th and that's a Tuesday :) Please prove me wrong about this date!
