TEA ROOM # 112

Christchurch, New Zealand

I second that Anthony!!!
Christchurch can be lovely but when the hot Nor west blows it plays havoc with sinus & migraines...
and when the Easterly blows it ruins any day.
They call it the beastly eastly here.
Straight off the Pacific ocean & bitterly cold even at the height of summer.
Hate wind with a passion, miss Brisbane's climate although I do like being able to grow rhodies, camellias, peonies & other plants that need cold winters.
But there is a special place in my heart for the tropical lovelies that I used to grow.
Frangipani is one I miss & bananas in the back yard... mmm & mangoes too!
Used to have coleus rampant in the garden, collected cuttings from anywhere & every where & had quite a lovely variety.
Had to laugh here, there was a pathetic coleus in a pot at the RSA & I was doing my bit to keep it going by watering & pinching out the tips to try & get it to bush out a bit...
got told off by the gardening expert for pinching out the flowering tips...
apparently it was frustrating her no end to see it get close to flowering only to see someone had nipped them off.
I tried to explain that coleus was grown for foliage not flowers & that I had a huge collection in my garden back in the day but she wouldn't have a bar of it.
I left the poor plant alone & it turned up it's toes in no time flat.
Just wish I had grabbed a cutting to bring home as I am sure I would have had a decent pot plant out of it.

Good morning everyone..
Well the sun is shining but I am not fooled.
I know the wind will be back just as I leave to go over to Coleraine to do a bit of shopping.
We had an inch of rain yesterday & overnight. One tree fell down out in the paddock. It can stay there too.
The forecast said more strong winds today but coming from the southwest instead of from the north, so it will be icy cold.

Anthony I blame you for the cold wind as you are further south from here and must be pushing it away.

Teresa, hope you are not getting too much wind there either
Had a giggle over your story of the coleus.
I can just see that person waiting for flowers...lol

Al, I think we all may join you as it looks so lovely where you are. I could do with all that seafood too. I love it.
I used to live in Geraldton in West Australia and the cray factory was right down the street.
One could buy crays from the boats as they came in or go to the processing plant for all the free cray legs.
Those were the days....yummm

Dianne, did you put a support bra on the brug pods as suggested ??
I like the image of a pair of pods in a bra..lol

Karen, hope the toothy problems are getting sorted .
I may have to visit if you are having warm weather.
The sun is shining in the window here but its icy in the wind.

Good idea Chrissy.
Anyone have any suggestions for a rampant evergreen creeper to cover the pile of dead tree limbs and stump ?
Have to be hardy to survive the cold too.

Charleen, hope you are enjoying warm weather still as Fall creeps in .

Moon same for you, nice and warm as well .

Hello everyone else ..
I will leave you all a sweet treat for morning tea....Apple and Cinnamon Slice.
Happy gardening and keep safe.
jean.

Jean have you tried grapes ?
http://theplantwhiz.com/2010/02/growing-grapes-in-melbourne/
oh the possibilities.

Kiwi Fruit ?

Teresa yes we all push the zone envelope, such a lovely old fashioned thing coleus, I used to have lots of them in some of my past 70's gardens. Made great indoors plants too in a sunny room. We all want things we know we can't grow, don't we ? it's a gardener's lot. ^_^

Anthony ditto the wind ! it's already blown the blossoms off some of the trees ...there go the plums this year :(

Glad you are feeling better Karen, mouth issues aren't very nice. They can do good things these days, hope they can fix the grinding problem too.

Well it's Friday again so I know everyone will have a very busy weekend coming up ...so happy weekend all ! have a good one !

chrissy

Merino, Australia

Chrissy we have grapes , but the darn birds get every one.
I want something evergreen so I cant see the mess the tree has made.
Cold and raining here with a bit of sun every now & then. No really strong winds so far today.
Jean.

Clifton Springs, Australia

No Jean, I didn't put the Sports Bra on the pods, but I could do with it in this wind..it's terrible..
Dreadful day..
http://gardenclinic.com.au/plant_of_the_week/pyrostegia_venusta_flame_vine_/
Jean, this vine grows around my area quite easily even though they say it's for warmer climates....I don't remember you having heavy frosts.

Mum used to grow it in Footscray years ago...very pretty when it's in flower...
Have a great weekend everyone.
Dianne

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

The weather has been nice. Can get hot if you go to working at something tho. I went out to water the brugs and was really sweating up a storm by time I finished. It was hot.
Charley got up into his hay trailer to eat the hay, the rascal. We have been getting 3 bales but just got 2 this month. He was just being his goofy self..
me and my puppy in last one. He is so sweet....and growing....

Good morning everyone.
Its all quiet here this morning with the sun coming out.
i am hoping for a nice non windy day so I can get back out in the garden.
Lots of twigs everywhere but no more large branches down.
Its always a shame that we get this wild wet weather just as the daffodils etc are looking so lovely.
Now they are all bowing down to the ground.
A few sunny days will fix them.

Anthony, keep warm there. Lots of liliums poking up everywhere here.
hope you dont get too carried away at the market...lol

Dianne, I love that pyrostegia and saw some magnificent specimens in WA.
It does like the warm weather , so I dont know how it would do here.
I havent seen it growing anywhere around but it is one I really like. I will try and find some .

Hello colleen, Karen, Sue, and Teresa.
Al, Charleen and Moon, you will all be able to enjoy those magnificent Fall colors in the trees.
I wish I could visit and see them myself.

Take care everyone and keep safe.

Here is your morning tea treat.....Banana Muffins
Happy day

Hello to you all.

I agree Charleen....way to hot and humid. My goodness that T-Boy has doubled in size....puppies grow so fast. Stay cool...I enjoy your elves, gnomes and buddahs.

Strange weather patterns every where Jean...the heat index is over 35C with crazy high humidity. No fall season here for a while it seems.

Hornell, NY(Zone 5a)

We'll get our fall in due time, but not usually until middle October. We often grow our tomatoes up to the 1st if it doesn't frost.

We're headed on the homestretch, now back into New Brunswick on the roundabout road past Fundy Bay. Couple more lighthouses to see before heading home through Maine. Friends in Bangor offered me a pilot's tour in a Cessna 172 small airplane around Acadia Park, should be awesome trip.

Al

Brisbane, Australia

Good morning. Its a lovely, sunny morning but the wind has a chill in it and my feet are freezing. I haven't put anything warm on them because the sun belies what my feet are telling me. It is supposed to warm up much more today, so they say. I don't really like the heat, but just now I feel I've been cool long enough.

Feeling so good today. Have been down checking out my bromeliads and the budding epis. Tiny orchids are out too but very difficult to get a decent pic that shows just how lovely they really are.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying some beautiful Spring weather.
Karen

Tiny orchids in the tree.
Wisteria starting to bloom and send out its perfume into the air. Unfortunately the wind is blowing it away.
A Tillandsia starting to bud up.
A bromeliad showing great striping and colour.

Took a drive to Daylesford today, started out in sunshine and finished in misty rain.....It's a very pretty place at this time of year, full of Daffodils, Rhododendrons and Azaleas...some of the best Rhodos I've seen....

Saw a couple of funny things like a herd of cows grazing near a fence and 3 emus walking in amongst them, what they were looking for I can't imagine....and a house near town with a mob of about a dozen wallabies grazing on the lawn near the road...this was about 10 in the morning....they have usually disappeared by that time of the day..
Had the best eggs Benedict for breakfast, so many tourists in town, there might have been a festival on...

That plane trip sounds pretty good, Al....
Sounds like a Cortizone injection, Anthony...you have my sympathy...
Charleen, I love that pic of you and the cutie...
Glad that you are having a good day Karen, let's hope you have a lot more now that the weather is getting better.
Don't get carried away Jean, remember that shoulder...
Dianne.

rosetta TASMANIA, Australia

Sounds like a great day, Dianne

Running very late today, we had people visiting on and off due to the Council Elections (people decide to visit on such days).
It's been great but I am over umpteen cups of coffee ...I wanted to do so much outside and I couldn't.
We had a delicious Tuna Frittata and salad for lunch ...lots of my own flat leaf parsley and chives thrown in, so lovely to be picking some things already. Then it was home made banana bread made with Greek yoghurt and walnuts mmmm !
No room for dinner tonight. Bouncing off the ceiling from the caffeine ...

Lovely pictures everyone, sounds like everyone had a nice day, still very dry and fairly windy here.

When we see the Kangaroos coming in early here, it is a portent of possible drought ahead, lets hope they were just wanting to take a tour.

Glad you got some rain Anthony ^_^

Sounds like you are really enjoying yourself Al - wonderful !

Hope you get some cooler temps ...soon Moon and Charleen ! Time for a cool change (Aussie band)

Good morning everyone.
Looks like being a nice day so far. The sun is out and no wind.
I will be picking up heaps of twigs and small branches later. Nothing compared to the wind damage in some places though.
It always amazes me that people want huge gum trees right in their backyards.
They would have to be the most prone to falling on houses & cars, causing so much damage .
I love trees too, but would not want something so big in my yard.
I think councils should have some responsibility for helping to get rid of giant existing trees.
Its hard when you buy next to someone with a tree that may fall on your place.
Our eucalypts are very nice in the place where they belong...out in the bush.
European trees seem to do better and though some do fall over , its usually the older trees in very high winds.
Our eucalypts like to drop huge branches or just topple over because they grow so tall and top heavy.
Okay thats my speech for the day.

Hello Al, you are seeing some spectacular places. I bet you have put on pounds with all the lovely food too.

Charleen . that Charley is a cheeky fellow. He seems to like showing off by getting on the trailer.
You little cutie is certainly growing too. So cuddly.

Moon, I keep forgetting how much distance there is in your great country. I picture colorful Fall trees everywhere.
Like us , you have such diverse types of flora.
Enjoy the warmth while it is still around.

Hello Teresa, hope all is going well for you at work. Give those two spotties a pat for me.
I enjoyed seeing your city again the other day on TV. So very pretty despite the quake damage.

Hello Karen, hope all is well with you now . No more tooth problems. Enjoy that sun up there.

Hello Anthony. How is Cocky these days. Still supervising your work ?
Hope all went well with your injection. I have my shoulder one in 2 weeks.

Dianne, sounds like you had a lovely day despite the rain. Its great to see our wildlife as one drives around.
Ivoire and Topsy are waving ..

Hello to everyone else.

I will leave your morning tea treat out but watch out Charley doesnt see it first...lol

here we are .....Apple Shortcake with Passionfruit Icing.

Happy day

Hi everyone ...off outside while there is no wind, I hope everyone has a lovely morning. Back after some garden chores ^_^

chrissy

Christchurch, New Zealand

had a lovely day off yesterday, did a couple of loads of washing & other house work.
Went out to Rangiora, just north of ChCh to visit friends & look at their 10 day old mini schnauzer puppies.
Such wee sweeties, mind you all pups are adorable no matter the breed.
Today was dog club day, our championship show & I stewarded the top test.
22 entered which is good.
So glad the weather was fine all weekend for it, bit windy but the ground was soft so we used tent pegs to push one corner of the scent cloths down & they all stayed put.
All the dogs retrieved the correct cloth so that was really nice to see as some days they make a mess of things & pull the cloths out of the pattern & it makes extra work for the steward who has to reset the pattern again.
I always asked to run Chita last in scent as she had a habit of picking each cloth up & tossing it aside if it wasn't right...
when they saw her little act they were always pleased to have let me go last.
I have a mystery creeper coming through the fence from next door...
I had been pulling it off as I am concerned it will break the fence. Yesterday I noticed that it has flowered & is actually rather pretty.
Can anyone suggest an id for it?

Cute baby you have there ^_^
It is Akebia (the plant -not the pup )

chrissy

Merino, Australia

Teresa , they are so cute. You are right , all puppies are cute when babies.
That vine looks pretty but also looks like it could be menace on your fence.
I would paint it with Roundup, if the neighbors dont contain or remove it.
Not nice to do , but better than having it wreck the fence later.

Jean.

Clifton Springs, Australia

It turned out a lovely day, so I've been repotting too...sometimes I wonder where they all come from....
Every time I start to stockpile the potting mix, Jean...I find something that I should repot...oh well....
The violets are very beautiful this time of year, I have 3 types plus the ordinary garden variety, which is great for perfume anyway.....
The others are doubles and a pink...

Lovely pups Teresa....how are your cyclamens going, are they naturalising the way that you wanted?.

On the way to Daylesford yesterday we had to go thru the Brisbane Ranges and were they
beautiful.....Yellow everywhere.
I was particularly taken with the low growing ones amongst the trees...had to take a couple of pics even though it was raining...
Dianne.

Thumbnail by Seachanger Thumbnail by Seachanger
Clifton Springs, Australia

I forgot that I took the pics with my phone....sorry they are only small ones...too blurry when they are enlarged..

Merino, Australia

Dianne, I have been able to stockpile the potting mix through winter because it has been too darn wet & cold to get out and use any.
I usually buy 3 every shopping day .
Now the fine weather has arrived, I will quickly use it all up.
I used to get a trailer load from Mt Gambier, but hubby says it is too dear by the time we go all the way over & back with the trailer a couple of times.
I now have to look through my pots and get all the biggest out for the bruggies.
There will be lots of disturbed wolf spiders then as they do like to live in the pot stacks in my little shed.
Luckily they run away and are not aggressive if left alone.

Nice pics, We see the same scenery going across to Halls Gap . Lots of yellow everywhere.
Jean.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good Morning

Our first cool front moved in last night...this morning the temp was a pleasant 20C...a bit cooler than the 26C yesterday morning.Perhaps fall will soon be here.

Jean, Australia and the US are very close in size...Aus 12,370,784.3 sq km and the US 12,597,333.3 sq km. After doing some comparison, I think I am in basically the same Plant hardiness zone as most of you...my zone 9a is pretty much equal to your zone 3 (-5C to 0C)

Soon I will be getting the garden ready for a nap...and maybe getting a handle on the weeds that have run rampant this summer...ahh hope springs eternal.

Sweet pups Teresa....sounds like a busy weekend.

Hope you all have a pleasant week ahead.

USA population 310,384,000

Australia 22,697,961.

Bit of a difference in our populations, nice to see your weather being kinder Moon. Not many people on this big Island.
You have a lovely week too ...it's early Monday morning here, I am up late waiting to get hubby up to call the USA, he buys things (Spare Parts) from people in Texas. It's almost time so I will say goodnight ^_^

chrissy

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I read an article once, and the author was talking about population distribution....his comment about Australia was that the population was "much like the picotee coloration on a flower" grouped around the coastlines....not so much here....grin

You have a good sleep and a brilliant morning Chrissy.

Merino, Australia

Good morning everyone. .. Who came and stole the sun ? It was definitely here yesterday .
Maybe old man Sol didnt like the cold any more that we do and moved back to Qld...lol

Moon. I like your example of the picotee edging . We are just like that.
All grouped around the edge of the country like lemmings waiting to jump off.
Certainly a large difference in population numbers though.
When people see something ( good or bad ) and say 'only in America ' I usually answer , yes, but if we had that amount of people , it would be happening here too.
I had to laugh when you mentioned hardiness zones.
I think my little hill here is in a zone of its own. The Twilight Zone...lol
Everything in the garden seems to happen in slow motion and way behind even a few miles away.

Hello Chrissy, Dianne, Karen, Teresa, Anthony , Charleen and Al.
Take care and enjoy your fine weather .

I am going to sit and read for awhile until I see signs of the sun coming back.

Heres a treat for morning tea....Banana Chocolate Cake.
Happy day
Jean. .

Clifton Springs, Australia

I hear the Twilight Zone music Jean, it's coming from the west of me...lol

We stay on the coast Moon, because it's so darned hot in the middle......tough people live there.....
Some people come from hardy, pioneering stock, not me...all urban, soft living types in my pedigree I'm sure....
I start to pant, just looking at Alice Springs on the weather map....

Better move, I suppose I should start the vacuum, but then again, the seedlings need inspecting... :-)
Dianne.

Merino, Australia

Dianne, I spent many years in the "hot "areas and would do it again even though its not always comfortable.
I much prefer it to being so cold all the time.
I told hubby, in the next life , he had better be living somewhere a bit warmer...lol

I must have good rugged pioneering genes. My Nan always called me a wandering Gypsy.
Even as a child, I was always out roaming around exploring.
I hate city living.
The only good thing about cities are the large shopping centres.
I just love huge shopping complexes.. Not that I like to spend but they are so great to wander around for a whole day .
Jean.

Don't forget Aussies like the Beach ^_^

I think it was a bit of a shock to my system moving here 21 years ago, (a bit inland) ...the shock at the cold (never had experienced a real Frost prior to this place) and days over 42C up to 46C ...I have like most Aussies grown up and lived by the Beaches and Rivers until my move here. It is quite a shock to to your gardening experience to move to such a different climate.
Yes I think it toughens you up. I have in-laws, who live in and love Broken Hill, it's harsh there but has it's own unique beauty. It would kill me though ...the poor gardens. It reminds me of old Western movies, except for all the galvanized iron. Even a lot of the old homes are made out of it. I couldn't imagine the heat in one of those old homes. I was told they were miners homes and they cooled off very quickly at night instead of holding the heat like Bricks, also because of the distances it was a convenient material to have hauled in from very long distances away from any sources of building material.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Broken-Hill-corrugated-iron-houses.JPG

It's Monday and lots to do, so have a great day everyone ...the Sun is out.

chrissy

Brisbane, Australia

Good morning all. Those little puppies look so healthy. Have been jumping between the garden and the washing up till now. Took some pics too, but they are still on the camera, so maybe tomorrow I'll have some ready to put up. Nothing great though.

Today I am planning to go down to Hope Island. My uncle, now 90, and his wife have moved into a full time care centre. They are still going through the settling in period, and Trixie is recovering from something, but no one has told me what yet. She is also in her 90's, so they've done well for themselves, but I hate the thought of them going. Uncle Merv is the last of my family from that generation.

So had better keep moving while I'm still going. Have a lovely day.
Karen

Hornell, NY(Zone 5a)

I love your puppies, really cute. I dearly miss my Mack, he was partly black Labrador and sort of medium-large size. I used to love the way he leaned on my leg and nosed his way in when he wanted attention. He finally got old and sickly and I had to put him away at the vets. We haven't gotten another since because we travel a lot and it's sort of difficult to carry a large pet along.

Okay - We're back in the USA, just passed the Border and now in Albany NY above NYC for one last night before heading home tomarrow. Losts of pictures to sort out, will print up an album later for all to see. If anybody really wants to smell fresh air they have hundreds of miles of it in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. In fact, they have hundreds of miles between fuel stations even. Nothing but trees, sky, and roadway.

"Dianne, you can keep your wattle birds. We have them here too and they are just big bullies.
They chase the small New Holland honeyeaters around the garden until the poor little things are so tired..
The wattle birds are also guilty of breaking the stems of smaller plants with their weight, as they try to get the nectar."

77sunset,

Your talk about the wattle birds reminded me of the ones I had in my garden In Peakhurst, when we lived in Sydney. I used to train the hose onto my Jacaranda which swept the ground, in the really hot days of summer. The Wattles and the Noisy Miners, Rainbow Lorikeets and even the Magpies would all hang upside down in the branches taking a shower in the virtual waterfall. So much fun to watch.

The Wattle's bullying ways would be repaid in spades as the Koel cuckoos would lay their eggs in the Wattle's nests and Mum and Dad would be run ragged trying to feed the enormous baby!

Half my clothes line ran under the Jacaranda, and no way could I peg clothes underneath it, too many bird droppings! Part of the other half of the clothesline was occupied by a large Tree spider, which I didn't have the heart to remove. So all summer I put a few sheets in the middle and the rest went in the clothes dryer!

The things we do!

Good morning everyone.
The sun is shining. I will be out & about today getting things done while it lasts.
Hubby says the forecast is for cold & wet on Thursday. Shopping day , of course. Who knows, it could stay like this instead.
I have pups to take off broms and seeds to get going in the greenhouse. Lots of repotting to get through as well.

Charleen, T-Bo is certainly growing into a chubby fellow. He is so cute.
That is a beautiful butterfly. We have pretty ones up north , but down here most are the Monarchs .
I do see some very pretty smaller ones in light blues & greens.
Hugs for Charley and his mates.

Moon, I see on the news here that the US has has its hottest year , I hope the Fall brings welcome respite from the heat.

Al, you will be able to enjoy your trip all over again with all the photos.
We look forward to hearing more about your home area.

Gabi, I see our wattle birds are back here again. The poor little honey eaters will be chased once more.
Funny thing is that the wattle birds only seem to annoy the honey eaters. Probably to do with having the same food supply.

I like to sit quietly on one of the many seats I have around the garden, All sorts of birds come around and visit.
Its lovely to see the tiny wrens and finches back again after being chased away by the B*** cat.
Because they usually nest low, the nests were being ruined and the eggs broken.
We have a few that always like to flit around the veranda looking for spider web for the nests.

Chrissy, I am one of those odd Aussies that doesnt like the beach.
Never been a fan of swimming or sunning on the sand. I like to visit the coast for the scenery, but not to live there.
Give me the bush and inland any time.
I must be a throwback to the hunting & exploring ancestors. ...lol

Hello Teresa, Dianne, and Anthony.

Time I put out some morning tea nibbles, then moved myself outside while the sun shines.

Try this yummy Chocolate Coffee Cake...

Happy day

Another glorious Spring day. Birds being birds everywhere, even some butterflies in the air. We get a lot of butterflies here, mostly common crows, but some colourful common jezebels and orchard butterflies as well.

Charleen, looks like another spoiled, lovable, huggable puppy you've got there.

Visited my elderly uncle and his wife yesterday. He is dreadfully ill, poor darling. I fear we may lose him sooner rather than later. Afterwards we visited Sanctuary Cove just to see what's new. There's a lot of money crammed into a very small space there.

Nice to see the Calibrachoa and the wild freesias in flower again. And how the other half live, hey!
Have a lovely day.

The wattle birds get along fine with the little New Holland honeyeaters here Jean and Gabi, probably because they outnumber the wattlebirds..The blue wrens and the big fat doves all wander around amongst the bushes, though only the doves really wander, the wrens flitter.
We are in a bird flightpath of some sort, every year around this time, hundreds of heron and pelicans fly over in groups and when I say hundreds, I'm not kidding....the herons are in groups of about 50 and they come across the bay to the peninsula, maybe they're going to Swan Bay, which is a protected area....the pelicans are in smaller groups, but they just keep coming all afternoon.

Charleen that is a lovely butterfly, we don't have many spectacular ones in Victoria, if they are here, they hide from me.

Sneaking out of winter hibernation.
Well haven’t been doing much in the garden, only been taking cuttings from string of pearl plants.

Had a chain of heart self seed in the garden, interesting to see how they grow from seed, usually cuttings are so simple I never bothered, but I now have a little seedling I will be seeing how it gets along.

Have a few “karaka black berry” little seedlings
They are supposed to have super long fruit.
I germinated the seeds like I do with all berry cane plants that I grow, in a polystyrene box with, old mushroom compost kit from previous season mushrooms, sandy loam and cow poop.

I also ended up chucking a few strawberry fruit in the box too, the plants always suck up to much water in winter and most of the fruit goes soggy quickly if left on the bush, so chucked the fruit on the surface and now I have a few “sweet-heart” strawberry seedlings growing in my sprout box.

Does anyone else grow strawberries?
I have tried growing other strawberry plants from seed and nothing grows as good as the “sweet-heart” type, they grow and fruit from seed within 12 months and they require very little water in summer, and mature plants can fruit twice a year.

The Lilium’s are starting to put leaves up :)

Have been enjoying all the freesias that are flowering at the moment, I love the granny type the best; the smell is amazing with mass plantings.

Planted a few lettuce and crimson broad beans seeds, tis the season.
Did very well from the crimson broad beans last year so I am sticking with that type.
Saved a whole brown paper bag of seeds from last year so happy to share seeds if anyone wants to try them.

Good morning everyone.
Cloudy this morning , but I hope it will stay fine . Yesterday was a busy day.
I was able to get lots done getting brugs moved and potting a few others. I was able to use my little converted shopping trolley for all the hard work.
A bag of potting mix sits nicely in the plastic container we have on it. The large pots fit too.
Makes life much easier as it fits along the garden paths.
I think I mentioned it ages ago. Just one of those cheap little 2 wheel trolleys from the reject shop.
Take off the material part and you have a nice frame to fir a plastic box on..

Sounds like you were busy aussie-flower.

Hello Dianne, you have lots of birds too.
I love sitting around and watching their antics.

Karen, sad to hear about your elderly relative. Its hard to lose a loved one .
Did you buy that boat while you were in the "upper class"area ...lol

Hello Chrissy, hope your day was enjoyable too.

Hello Teresa, Anthony Moon and Al.
Charleen, Cookies for Charley out the back, pat those furry ones for me.

Hello anyone else popping in .
I need a cuppa.
I have been helping hubby find the new water leak .
We had to get the plumber in to fix one yesterday and now it looks like there is another one.
Thats the trouble with having private water lines. They were put in years ago and one has no idea where half the darn pipes are.
We have to contend with leaks in our pipes and the main lines which run through paddocks.
The water board people will not fix any private line leaks whether on our side of the meter or theirs.
So we, get the plumber back..
Hope he can fix this one quickly.

Enjoy your day and have some of this .....Coffee Cake..
