What's Blooming in Your Garden VI
I bought 6 Black and Blue sasvias on the distressed table at Lowe's for $1.00 each, now I am trying to figure out where to put them. Can I plant them in morning sun afternoon shade, the last one I had in full sun burned to crisp. They are nice in the pot, love the cobalt blue color.
Offer, anyone would like 2 black Elephant ears, they are one year old, I planted them in wrong place and would like to plant something eles , so it is free, maybe swap for something nice. ?????
kiseta, my B&B likes partial shade as well. Robin yours looks great. The Black Mondo's blooms are very attractive as well. J. those gloriosas are fabulous.
I love dark stemmed plants. I like your EE.
I wish I could grow (or had the money to buy) black bamboo (phyllostachys nigra).
The pictures look fabulous. It's like $90 for a plant by mail.
And it's a zone 7 plant... Mind you, I buy lots of zone 7 plants,
some live, some die. One of the joys of gardening is zone-pushing.
But at that price, I'll just admire it in the catalog.
I think I have the same elephant ear. If it is it's called Heart of the Jungle. One of my favorites.
I have red salvia, coreoptis, light purple salvia, Hot Lava coneflower and zinnas, ironweed, catchfly, hostas, toothache plant, tall phlox and my containers blooming right now.
Zinna and light purple salvia blooming together.
'Elegans' zinnia is gorgeous OH81. I've the same rose and it's now climbing my arbor, pix was posted a day before yesterday with my S.A.C. and Turk's cap blooms.
OH81, your Don Juan looks much more voluptuous than mine. The pix was a far away shot (just right above where I posted the Crown Of Thorn cutting.
It's pretty hydrangea.
Love those sunflowers, fine job!
