(Zone 7a)

Wow...that was weird.

Penstemon! Yes! I think it's Coral Nymph.

Verbascum 'Temptress White.'

Monarda 'Coral Reef.' The grasshoppers are really doing a number on it.

I love that combo there Jo Ann, kwanjin if you shear the Nemesias down to about 1/3, that will sharpen it shape up, stimulate new growth and reblooms. I'd also give it a liquid balance fertilizer, or even blooms booster (one with a higher middle number), it will promptly give you a second wave of blooms. I did that to my million bells & Nemesias. They're now cheerfully yielding their blooms the second go round.

kwanjin -- I LOVE that coreopsis -- please post the name when you get a chance!!

Saint Louis, MO(Zone 6a)

Kwanjin, nice coreopsis. I got burned by the earlier more colorful cultivars which for me turned out to be wimpy - poor bloom, poor hardiness. I don't remember for sure, but I think one was Sweet Dreams, or something like that. Are the newer ones more stalwart? They're so pretty, I may have to try them again.

This is one of the newer hybrids echinaceas, double pink. This is my first year with them. So I don't know how they will perform here in the long haul. But for now, they out performed others that were purchased at the same time this early spring.
