Beautiful gardens, Judy! I want that hydrangea - just ordered a few oakleafs to plant in a dappled shady spot in the rear.

FLStu - how old is your hydrangea?

Meredith.... Planted my first Kniphofia this year, 'Flaminco'. Hop to see how it turns out as is a phenominal flower (IMHO). Wild rabbits and Lober grasshoppers are finally letting them leaf now that there are other tings to eat.

Elliot's aster for my last entry right know.

Poppies are ephemeral but so is everything about a garden. I think they are worth it.

Here is a Lupine that I like (with a random poppy in the background:-))

NoID daylily that came with the house. I think they look like bird beaks when they're opening, as if there's a nest of enormous hatchlings waiting to be fed.

My Cappuccinos have really multiplied this year!
That's the great thing about having them 'in' that Caryopteris shrub, the branches grow over the plain green lily foliage but it's loose enough to give them enough light and I get blue flowers in late summer
