Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

Karen, I have fushia and purple crepe myrtle seeds. Can I send you some?

Cam, the most 'southern' I am is from southeast Kansas, and I like sugar in my cornbread. lol

Anita, yes, that is a banana tree in the background. A girlfriend of mine gave me some starts in the spring. It was about 3 ft. tall when I got it and over 6 ft tall by the time I brought them in for the winter. I'm afraid it got too cold by the doggie door in the garage, as we had snow blow in on them there from the STRONG north winds, but I will plant them again and see. I think the smaller ones I have that were farther away may be OK.

FOTV, i will send you some zinnia's too.

(Anita) Fort Wayne, IN(Zone 6a)

Crit, banana trees are another fav of mine. I have one but I have kept it in a pot but i would love to stick it in the ground just to see how much it grows. How much sunlight did your BT get? I don't think it would survive south facing all day strong sunlight. I have east, west and north but my north sun may not be enough. I may get a couple more and try them in different areas.

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

My BT is on the north, but gets sun all day. I put it in a 1/2 whiskey barrel, then dig and bring them in in the winter.

Blue Ridge Mtns, VA(Zone 7a)

Thank you for the Zinnia seeds, Patti. Don't mail them ahead, in the Robin is fine.

One of our local nurseries, that mainly carries fruit trees, leaves their Banana plants out year-round. Next time I go by there, I'll going to ask its name and if they're not too pricey, a few might jump in my car. I have a Canna garden behind our garage each year and think BT's would be stunning with them.

(Anita) Fort Wayne, IN(Zone 6a)

Yes the Bananas would look good with the Cannas bringing in color.

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Fruit, recd. the seeds this past week. Thank you so much for sharing your seeds with me.

Maxine

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

FOTV ..... there are 2 different kinds of banana trees. One is the tropical, the other is a 'hardy' that can stand lower temps.

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

I had a banana tree in Raleigh for about 10 years had with stood snow and everything else. This year it has not started comming up yet. I hope its still there.
I am going to Ga. next week so you all behave while I am at Moms.LOL

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9b)

It's here it's here! If the paperwork isn't here tomorrow, is it something you can email me?
I'm so excited and I have some nice stuff to contribute...I'll post again when it's on it's way.

Sue G
(CheerMom)

the paperwork is instructions for winter sowing and how to make seed sifters. not robin paperwork, sorry for the confusion. it is included so we can make copies and pass on to the next person, unless, like me, you forget to put it back in the box.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

well How about if you just send the instruction papers onto crit then she will have then by time the ROBIN Gets to her Are the screens in the Robin ? sure sue won't need the instruction but we can get her a set if she dose .

Crit Looks as you will have the robin landing at your door step Next week.

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

WHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I can't wait! Have been working on seeds to add. I have zinnia seeds ready for those I promised. Will mail to those not behind me in the Robin. Again I apologize as I can't get them really clean. Thumbs don't like to go towards the other fingers to pick out stuff, but did the best I could. I just plant chaff and all in my bed. ^_^.

i mailed the paperwork the day after i mailed the robin, so you should have it today or tomorrow at the latest.

Athens, PA

I have a mix of Alaska and Milkmaid Nasturtium seeds. Would anybody be interested in them? Please let me know.

Carolyn

(Di) Seven Mile, OH(Zone 6b)

Me, Carolyn...me! I would love some....I haven't grown nasturtiums in a few years, it'll be nice to grow some again.

Athens, PA

Di

do you want me to send them to you or put them in the robin?

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9b)

I got the paperwork!

CheerMom
(Sue G)

Morrisville, PA(Zone 6b)

Whew ..... I've been AWOL ...... unexpected issues to tend to ... then my computer acted up ... found the recovery disk .... had daughter's significant other look at computer .... it is a bit better .... but still has problems .... I have to go through a long process to boot up .... it makes a shreiking beeping sound (continious) at start up.

MARY

(Di) Seven Mile, OH(Zone 6b)

If you wouldn't mind popping them in the mail, I'd appreciate it, Carolyn. I can get them started in the pot inside then.

Mary, I'd take that thing to a comp repair shop if it's making noises like that.

Athens, PA

Di - Not a problem. I have more if anybody else is interested.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9b)

Received the robin and the paperwork (it was winter sowing instructions) and am putting that in the box as well --- all I can say is this is the BEST seed robin I've seen and it's HUGE!. I'll be repacking today and it will be on it's way to the next person---Jennifer you should receive it Monday or Tuesday I would think. Thanks Susie for including me in this one!
