And you too, Susie, for adding me.

Everett, WA(Zone 8a)

Welcome!

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

thank you for asking to join us :))))

As for a few Newbies Let me just say way I Do NOT Want Handmade envies MANY reasons .

SEEDS TEND TO STICK TO TAPE OR THE CLUE
& IF THE PACKS HAVE MORE THEN SOMEONE WANTS ITS HARDER TO OPEN & RESEAL THE PK FOR A
FEW SEEDS .

THERE ARE A FEW ZIPLOCK IN THE ROBIN IF YOU NEED

IT IS HOWEVER OK FOR YOU TO TAKE A SMALL PIECE IF WAX PAPER OR OTHER TYPES OF PAPER
POUR SEEDS THAT ARE VERY TINY OR STATIC IN THE PAPERS FOLD TIGHTLY THEM PLACE INTO THE BAGGIES .

WE WANT TO SEE THE SEEDS WE ARE GETTING & HAVE A BETTER WAY OF GETTING TO THEM.
when paper envies are sealed we have to cut off tops to open & have to tape closed

if the packs are commercial packs UNOPEN they are fine As LONG AS They are Not the 10/$1. we all have them in our stores .

the reason for these robins are to share some of our newer types of seeds . I Hope That I'm Not Sounding
UNFAIR If you see there is already 4-5 Pks of something in the robin Don't add any more . of the same .

well if anyone has questions Please ask Sometimes i do not say things right at my age :) But Just Know I want a good robin for all .

off to make pancakes back later
susie

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Susie, you aren't alone in age. Sometimes my mouth is open and I should just insert foot. Know what I mean, or else it comes out totally different than what I meant to say.

Maxine

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Yep & I Trully am the type of person whom i do not like to hurt anyones feelings I was one who made my own envies when i started out trading about 4 yrs ago or more.

PET PEVEES
I Have been in other robins where there were packs in there that looked as if they had been buried & Dug back up.
coffee stained, some had staples on all 4 sides ,

some pks had seeds you could not find unless you had a magnifier if you do not have many to share at this time
don't just plant them & Collect the seeds for the Next robin to share .

We all can make our robin safe & Fun & That is all I'm asking .

OK CHANGE THE SUBJECT
Has anyone recieved the Thompson & Morgan Seed catalog ????

when they say 42 easy starts for $13.99 are they Plug Plants ????

well off to make a couple calls back later

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

I thought of something I meant to mention on the other thread about the 2nd time around Robin.

I have quite a few zinnia seed, but they are not separated. I like to plant mine as a mix, and that is how I collect my seed. They will not be 'real clean' as it is very hard with my hands hurting the way they are, but they are beautiful zinnia's. As I understand, I should not put in one large zip lock for peeps to take some of what they want out of, but should put them in individual little packs? I had planned to put them in a sandwich size zip lock for any to take out the amount they want. I want to do things the right way.

(susie) Hastings, MI(Zone 5a)

Crit It is fine to put them into large zip lock if you have that many to share , what we are trying to Do is get our Players to please take out a couple Tbls & Pass on for others to try .

2 TBLS Of Any seeds Produce More then enough Plants .

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

ok

Morrisville, PA(Zone 6b)

DJ ... are you for real? 2 tablespoons? That enough for an entire neighborhood!

When is the last time you opened a regular store pack of seeds?

When we do we sing the lyrics "IS THAT ALL THERE IS?

Sand Springs (Tulsa), OK(Zone 7a)

Boy..... I hear ya Mary

New Providence, IA(Zone 5a)

I usually figure 1/8-1/4 tsp. for tiny seeds, and maybe a teaspoon of normal size seeds. Then around 5 of large seeds, depending. If a majority of them germinated, there would be waaay too many flowers for a lot of people. My 2 cents. Pretty cheap. :D
