Tropical Garden #73

noonamah, Australia

They grow in heathlands or woodlands both in and out side of the tropics. There's quite a lot of different species coming from a lot of different climates. They look really great.

Dutchlady, they look great when you see large numbers growing together.

Seed capsules on old flower stalk. These stalks are often over 2 metres high. As kids we found them great as ready made spears.

Here are Vossner's Clematis

REALLY cool. I wonder if they would grow here? Probably too humid.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I think they would grow there, these are native to Texas, so I don't see why not..

Wow. You see unusual plants from Australia, you don't think 'native to Texas'. I should have looked it up.

Ok so now I'm looking for one LOL

Keaau, HI

I think the Clematis is native to Texas, rather than the Grass-Tree.

They grow well in a variety of environments in Hawai'i. They would probably do well in Florida.

LOL I should pay attention....

Hetty I'll be glad to send u some later. I just gave away my extras so have none to share.

That is very kind; however all of my previous comments on this thread refer to the Xanthorrhoea from Australia.....
