I would love a couple of seed heads of the light pink cosmos, onewish. Could I also try a 10' seed head. That has to be seen to be believed. It could pop thru my 7' rose, Wildeve, that the David Austin catalog lists at 3.5x3.5 ft, perfect for containers. I like eve, she is a survivor.

you got it

I mailed my box of seeds out to Stormy, there are extra seeds that are not spoken for. If you think you might have some seeds that you think I would like to try just throw them in the box for the return trip. A trade is not nesessary. I just want to share seeds, call it a friendship garden seed party. You all have fun! Any questions about the seeds just post or D-mail me.

Chris

A wonderful DG member sent me fresh adenium desert rose seeds when I posted questions on the caudiciform forum. I sowed 18 in a starter tray to share at the swap. Cultivar is unknown. They need to be kept warm and moist. Here is a wonderful link concerning pollinating and starting addenium seeds:

I am just back from a hot Friday night out at Shop Wrong's Can Can sale. Everyone who is anyone was there, thought I would never get thru the line. I have my feet in the foot spa with lavender Epsom salts, music on, fussy dog settled on her pillow and I finally have time to go thru the seeds that I got from the piggy swap. There is more than I can use, so I am going to start a part 2 haves list here. All of these seeds came from the swap. I have not grown them, yet.

GardenQuilts, Are the Cosmos perennial?

Delray Beach, FL(Zone 10b)

No, regular annual ones. I got a pack of cosmos labeled "cosmos orange and yellow" this spring in my "welcome newbie" packet and planted them. They came up all orange. Here is a picture:

Here is a better pic of the cosmos -sideways, but the flower looks the same in all directions. forgot to add my image software when I set up this computer. It is installing in the background at the moment.

Can I bother you for some of the echinacea paradoxa?

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Sure thing, Carolyn. One more left.

Thank you!

I was thinking of bringing 2 of the Christmas Cactus pots that I have. Doc sent me cuttings to root. No idea what color they might be and there is a very good chance that there is more than one color in each pot. He mentioned white, peach & yellow but I know that he has some very different colors. I only started rooting them two weeks ago so they are pretty new.
I also have a piece or two of rooted Cuban Oregano.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

woo hoo.. the shipment with the basil & dill is here.. just in time... they sent a bonus pack of black eggplant.. let me know if anyone wants a few out of it

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

What kind of basil?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

purple

Saylorsburg, PA(Zone 6a)

What variety of eggplant is it?

Saylorsburg, PA(Zone 6a)

OK so it's black zucchini and an old time heirloom at that! If you aren't going to use it or can spare some seeds I would be happy to have a few!

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Ronnie,(luvs) and Bluespiral, Your seed packages arrived today. Thank you!
