Saw my first Summer Tanager this Spring! First mistook it for a Cardinal, then realized what it really was. Beautiful red bird gone south for the summer. Lots of Baltimore Orioles, which is many more than usual. Blue birds all over the place. We have new types of plants growing which may be attracting some of the birds. I am researching the new plants to identify them. All these changes are fascinating, but I hope we don't lose our old living things. Sixty-five years of relying on our usual plants comming at the usual times makes one a little sad at the changes.
