2009 Lily Blooms #11

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

well, I'll be.... I'm always complaining that I can't grow asiatics and just discovered that Brunello is an asiatic. Oh well, it remains to be seen if it will return for me.

Aprilia-vossner you need to talk to Steve about those asiatics. I would think they would actually be the easiest for you to grow down there.

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

all research indicates they ARE supposed to be easier, maybe they just don't like me, except Brunello.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Start with 'Brunello' and then tell him that in order to be happy, he needs friends ;)

Beautiful pix, Mags. Are you sure that's Contrast? http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/127632/

Nope I'm not certain at all. It was labeled as such via a less than stellar source. So it could be Cookies and Cream as far as I know. Lol. Though I must say it has more of a "contrast" than the 'Contrast' in Plantfiles. Go figure. Cookies and Cream it is ^_^

And 'Double Vision' photo shows pink in the catalog and I wouldn't call it pink. It is definitely and strong stemmed double of which I have not seen yet. I have to check on that tomorrow.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

It's a gorgeous lily by any name, and I'd have it in my garden any day. :)

Ripon, WI(Zone 4a)

Mags, yes, everything is really off schedule this summer. It worked out good for me because I didn't miss too much while I was on vacation. I love LF-1!

Vossner, just guessing, but I think the clump of Conca d' Or is about 4 years old. It does really well for me and the fragrance is wonderful.

Lilsista, Pink Twinkle is sweet.

Here is Wild Heart.

Tracey has it too. It's very healthy and hardy in my zone. Wonderful scent. It's my favorite lily. Ah, Goldfinch is another Anastasia fan!

Mine was planted just this year so it's a little behind, but I'm really loking forward to it. Thanks for the teaser. :)

Thanks for your nice words. Lilies are my favorite and I most certainly enjoy blooming here as well as through all of you.

Most importantly, keep those lilies coming folks.

Star Class is sure a cutie. Not too much new going on but have Late Pink blooming

Mags, does Star Class always have a little pink on it, or is it only with the strange weather we're having this year? Thats a nice one.

Moby, I love Late Pink. About how tall is it?

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Late Pink is listed as 4 - 5 ft. tall.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

It's a beauty, Moby!

Elgin, IL(Zone 5a)

Moby, Tracey, love your pinks! I don't have anything in that delicious raspberry range. Gotta work in that! Tracey, it's so wonderful get the world's most pleasant tutorial on the complete range of lilies. Thank you.

'Star Class' always has that coloration, it has just held it better this year than most other years.

'Late Pink' is lovely Moby.
