It looks like it is trying really hard to be a double.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It does, all 3 blooms looks like this.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

It looks asiatic, is it?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

no idea, it just started blooming and like I said I was told it was a Pink Tiger Lily.

Poland, ME

It sure looks like a double Corsage. If not, it looks like a hybrid of it. Here are some pictures of Corsage (Note the edges)

Corsage makes small flowers.

There are some lovelies there! I especially like Corsage and Affaire. Does anyone have Griesbach "Tetra Gold"? If so, please post pics, as mine recently opened for the first time and doesn't look anything like the pic at Lily Nook.

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I have 'Griesbach Tetra Gold' and it is all done blooming. I will see if I can dig up a picture. You will notice on the Lily Nook website that this is a strain, so you will not get what is pictured, but will get some type of gold trumpet that could prove to be useful for someone hybridizing lilies. I was disappointed when mine opened last year too, I also bought the 'Griesbach Tetra Pink' who also wasn't at all what I had hoped for. And as far as a good tetra trumpet, the Lily Garden's tetra trumpets have a lot more pleasing, to me anyway, flower stature and form.

Not to sound grouchy about it, but I had a higher expectation for them.

Seedling? (from a friend)

This is another result of Pard's crosses.
A cross of "2 white with some green reverse, seed parent heavy substance."
Notice it is bowl shaped rather than trumpet shape. Tepals do have more substance to them too, but a brown reverse!

Both of those seedling are striking. Wow!

Love the seedling Ramona and I hope my little noid lily turns out as pretty as 'Corsage'.

Tracey you have the best collection of lilies!! You know you cost me more money every year w/these pictures, better sales tactic than any magazine.^_^

Thanks, Magnolia. I didn't realize when I ordered what "strain" meant, or I wouldn't have. That bulb wasn't cheap, and I wouldn't have bought it if I knew that I wouldn't know what it looked like. This is what I got. Not a lot of resemblance to the Griesbach Tetra Gold pictured on their website.

It looks to me more like my "Griesbach Tetra Pink'. I would contact them and email your picture. That there is no gold. It should be gold, not white. Let me know what you find out.

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

I sent them an email with 3 pictures on Friday or Saturday. I haven't heard back yet. I would have called them, except they're in Canada and I imagine the call would be expensive. (It's not very pink either).

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

That's very much what my tetra pink looked like. I was hoping for more like what was pictured, but I knew that it was a "strain" when I ordered it, so I took the chance. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose ^_^

And Pixie, sometimes I think I should have been a phone representative for a real lily grower. I would just love to talk to people about lilies. Lol.
