Is this maybe Buggy's Summer Song
2009 Lily Blooms #10 and the fireworks continue!
Thanks Maniac.....Now I know I didn't plant it...only added a few LO's this spring...
I have a Easter Lily growing about 20 feet from this bed..could it have crossed with one of my Orientals Like maybe Tom Pounce on it's own..??
Gee, I am not sure about crossing on their own. I thought interdivisional hybrids required embryo culture. Maybe someone can jump in and correct me if I am wrong.
She's huge and beautiful..and the smell is out of this world...
She's here now..And I love her....I'm just stumped on this...LOL
Here is Tiny Dino which I planted last year for my husband because He likes the orange so much.lol He was disappointed in 'Golf", because it wasn't orange enough for him ..you know what though, I prefer it, because it blooms earlier in front of my clematis's and it has a gold like tone to it...

Hi Marlina, welcome! Did your red one come with a name? My first guess would be Blackjack or Blackbird...?
Mainiac ~ it's hard to tell with the rain but your red lily http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6835847 looks a bit like America.
Mainiac, I wonder if your Not Purple Rain could be Jackqueline?
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/112930/ I really like Dots and Dashes too.
Ticker, that Red Hot is cool. Like a Christmas tree made up of lily blooms. Nice how most of them could open so nicely while being that crowded.
Susan
Do these look the same to you as L henryi I wonder they were here when we moved in actually they popped up out of no where after about 4 years of being here interresting...Here is a picture I always called them turkish caps...
These I believe to be michauxii or superbum lillium. I am more inclined to believe the michiganese since I have been informed they are native to Anoka where I live...

They look more like Lilium pardalinum
What do you think?

am in love with all of these!! I bought me a Salmon Star friday...not what I was hoping to find but it was so cute I had to bringit home! LOL
Marlina, I am inclined to think they are Lilium michiganense (or L. superbum). L. pardalinum has shiny petals, seems to have more vibrant coloring, and as the spots reach toward the ends of the petals, the yellow color seems to surround the spots, rather than a gradual even fading to orange or red. Look especially in the last two pics in Mag's link.
L. michiganense is native to MN. I have seen quite a few in Anoka County. Where did you get them?
