I was very pleased with the roses so submitted another order in May. Those just arrived in good shape. The condition of the roses makes me confident they'll be beautiful additions to my garden. I'd definitely order from this company again. As a plus, they have an extensive selection. |

Great looking plants, some already blooming, and packed nicely so no delivery damage. They have a great selection and the prices are very reasonable especially compared to your local nursery. |

I was not disappointed. This is an excellent rose supplier with a wide selection and shipping in gallon sized pots. Some of the roses were blooming even though they had traveled half way across the country packed in a cardboard box. I am very impressed and would encourage anyone to order from this vendor. |

The quality of my roses was excellent as was their packaging. These bushes are already blooming with large florist quality blooms. This company is well deserving of a top 30 rating. I recommend them to fellow gardeners frequently. |

Positive | gardenluver2 (1 review) | On Feb 6, 2011, gardenluver2 Katy, TX wrote: I have ordered something like 100+ roses from many different rose growers over the past decade, including Chamblee's. Chamblee's is my preferred grower over all the rest. Their customer service is excellent, orders (except for one) have always been accurate on arrival and the one time it wasn't they didn't give me any trouble and shipped the correct rose to me post haste! I have never had a rose die on me from Chamblees (that I didn't kill myself, that is). This is not the case from other growers. For instance, I have ordered from the Antique Rose Emporium before, and while I love their wide selection, one of the roses they sent me died shortly after arrival (I suspect from cane dieback, it had been pruned for shipment) and it was like pulling teeth getting them to accept responsibility and ship another one. |

It was my first experience ordering from the nursery. The transaction was easy, shipping prompt and packaging safe. The plants (Don Juan & Clotilde Soupert) are of excellent size with mature, substantial root systems. The nursery's prices are significantly lower than some of the other rose farms from which I've ordered. I will definitely order from Chamblee's again! |

I highly recommend Chamblee, thank you for such quality roses. |

Each gallon pot had at least 3 thick healthy canes. After checking through many other nurseries, I picked Chamblee's because of the positive reviews here as well as competitive pricing and low shipping cost. I'm just so pleased to receive these beautiful plants (Wild Blue Yonder, Abraham Darby, Pegasus, Evelyn, and Dark Lady) so quickly (next day turnaround for shipping from Tyler, TX to Houston, TX). They will be a lovely present for my mother this weekend. I will definitely be a returning customer. |

This fall a friend and I will order together to save on shipping since it takes a lot of money to ship potted plants which are so much better than bare root plants. Thank you Chamblee! You are a quality horticulturalist! |

Duchess de Brabant is LOADED with huge buds and I cannot wait for her to explode with blossoms. SDML, Abe Darby, Gruss an Aachen and all of the marvelous roses are big and healthy this year. Positive | LaurenGormly (2 reviews) | On Mar 4, 2010, LaurenGormly Dallas, GA wrote: I have been meaning to leave a comment for some time now! I bought a bunch of David Austin Roses in March 2009: 3 Heritage, 3 Pat Austin, 3 Portmeirion, 1 Evelyn, and 1 L.D. Braithewaite rose. All came in fabulous condition, packed very well. Some plants even had buds on them. I will say the roses that have done best are Heritage. In one summer they grew 5 feet tall!!! I actually had to cut them back a bit and they have only been in the ground a year. Evelyn gives out some huge flowers that are so gorgeous and smell amazing- I had my last and largest bloom on November 12! The others did not perform as well but they had plenty of blooms for their first summer in the ground. L.D. Braithewaite only gave me a couple of blooms, so I transplanted him to another area of the garden and I hope he does better this summer. I am really looking forward to spring/summer 2010 cause I am expecting a show of gorgeous and fragrant blossoms! I have already purchased a couple more and waiting anxiously for their arrival- Queen Elizabeth rose for my grandmother, and an Abraham Darby for me! Love this company. They have great prices which means I can get more for my money. |

I was truly a newbie at roses at the time I made that purchase. I have been back several times to purchase roses from Chamblee's. The salesperson who assisted me the first time just didn't give me the info that someone as green as I was needed. I also needed to find out more about how roses are grown and sold. I would never buy roses anywhere else except for Chamblee's now because I have found that the quality far excels the quality of other rose growers. I have had a much better experience with salespersons answering my "green" questions about roses. I just needed to grow and the sales peson just needed to understand just how much I didn't know about roses. Sorry Chamblee's you are the best and I know that now!! Positive | oldroselover (4 reviews) | On Feb 3, 2010, oldroselover Fort Worth, TX wrote: Great company! I have ordered from them by mail and have bought roses in person at their greenhouses in Tyler, Texas. They have a wonderful selection of old roses, Griffith Buck roses, and hardy newer rose varieties, including the Knockouts. They have several David Austin roses. They usually carry all of the Earthkind varieties as well. All of the roses they sell are grown on their own roots. Their mail order roses have always arrived very well packed and quite healthy and vigorous. I am hoping to visit them in person again soon during a road trip from Texas to Georgia. At the nursery you usually have your choice of many of the roses in one, two, or three gallon containers. They mail order their one gallon roses. Their pricing is great, and their customer service is very courteous. I am a huge fan of these folks! |

Negative | jTelgardener (2 reviews) | On Jun 13, 2009, jTelgardener Mahomet, IL wrote: I was so very excited to be ordering from this company for the first time since I had heard such great reviews! I am sad to say that the rose shipped did not meet my expectations (it was a sunny knockout rose)! Firstly their packing job was less than desirable (the rose was placed into the bottom of the box and the remaining space was packed with newspaper breaking many of the branches on the rose). As for the plant, it was obviously just transferred into a gallon sized pot when it clearly should have been kept in the pot it was already in. The original roses that I ordered two years ago far eclipse those that I've bought locally; and the new ones are already performing nicely. My roses were a nice size and arrived with many buds. I also find the website to have great information, and the varieties that they carry are indeed disease resistant, even in the humid conditions in Virginia. On June 10th, 2009, nangardens added the following: Just an update; the two ballerina roses which I ordered and planted recently are already sporting a number of beautiful blooms. All foliage is healthy and vibrant; and these are planted on at the edge of our lawn facing the very large Rappahannock river. |

They arrived exactly when I requested them. They were very carefully packaged and each plant arrived in fantastic shape. Because these roses were in pots, not bare-root, I had freedom to plant the roses at my leisure instead of within a day or so of receiving them. My roses are now happily situated in their new spots and blooming! I could not be happier with my entire experience with this company, from the pleasure of perusing their web site to opening the box to view healthy plant packaged with such care, to now seeing the plants thrive in my garden. At first I gasped a bit at their shipping costs but I believe now it was worth every cent. I heartily recommend this company. |
