Embolded by the positive reviews here, I ordered nine plants at once, my first time dealing with Chamblee's. Foolish? Maybe--it doesn't matter now! All those good reviews couldn't even prepare me for the nine gorgeous, healthy plants I received. They were quite small (which is immaterial to me, except it probably saved me some shipping!), all nicely branched and all just about covered in healthy, glossy green leaves. What a find! I simply could not be more pleased. Next time I need roses, I'll be checking out Chamblee's selection first.

I ordered roses last summer from Chamblee's, for fall planting, very nice company to deal with. I tried ordering from the website, but I messed up and had to call the next day to complete it. The lady I spoke with was very cheerful and helpful, which I appreciated. The roses arrived when they were supposed to, nice size and healthy. They have reasonable prices too. I hope to order again sometime.

I ordered three roses- Auscrim, Hot Cocoa, and Ghraham Thomas. All three arrived well packaged, but the Graham Thomas was dried up, leafless and had an unpleasant odor to it. I decided to plant it anyway, and was surprised at how quickly it bounced back- it's now thriving. My Auscrim tried to set out two flowers just a few weeks after planting, which I promptly snipped off to give the plant time to establish. In general I think these are amazing and high quality plants.

I purchased 12 roses, most from the on sale section of Chamblee's on line catalog. They arrived earlier this week. The packing was simple yet very secure, and the plants are all in outstanding condition. Sombreuil has several buds on it.
If there's any concern, it's that the plants were sent actively growing with a note to keep them from 60 to 70 degrees. It is January! I'm wheeling them out for a little fresh air and sun after 11AM, then back to the garage at night.

Their prices are reasonable and they have great sales. Chamblees gets the highest marks for a quality nursery!!

I placed my first order with Chamblee's a few weeks ago. I had first emailed them regarding OGR's and they responded with all the info I needed.

So after deciding never to order again from another company and wanting to completely redo my garden with OGR's, I placed an order with Chamblee's. They were their featured specials and I ordered 5 of them. I expected them to be quite small since maybe I was getting what I thought would be the last of the batch. Well, let me tell you they arrived very quickly ( I didn't even get the holes dug up yet!) and they arrived healthy. Beautiful roses and all with great healthy growth. My Jeanne De Arc will soon have to be moved to a larger container.

My favorite, Jean Bach Sisley is filling out with almost 10 buds!

I can tell you how happy I am to have ordered from Chamblee's. Their prices are so reasonable that you can actually order more roses from them than the other companies that only offer "bands". Their shipping prices are great and even with the documentation fee I had to pay for shipping in Florida, I still came out way ahead than ever before. I almost felt guilty for paying so little. But this guarantees that all my future purchases will only be from Chamblee's. I have even converted a few friends and family members to order from Chamblee's. Hope they continue to have great prices and low shipping and this company will continue to grow.

As you can see, I was pleased beyond my expectations.
Great company. Order from them and know you are getting QUALITY.

Here's another update about Chamblee's:

I have just received another order from Chamblee's and AGAIN I can't tell you how happy I am with the roses, packing and the service I got.

I ordered a total of 14 roses this time around (you should see my wish list for my next order) and some of them, like the Pat Austin has a big healthy buds on it.

Renee and Holly are just fabulous gals and their customer service skills are just first class. Everytime I call I am treated like if they have known me for years.

Chamblee's has quickly turned into my favorite place to order my roses from. I am looking forward to any additions they might add through the years.

Got another order from them and these were HUGE!! My Puerto Rico has three full blooms on it and after a nice drink of water, they blooms rose to the occasion! (no pun intended).

The rest couldn't fit in the box so they were stuffed as best as possible and amazingly enough as soon as I pulled off the newspaper, they all bounced right up.

I just hope they change the varieties so I can start ordering again for this coming fall. I LOVE Chamblee's!!!

Yeah, you read that right..Some had full blooms and some have more than 5 buds on it. When my income tax check arrived I knew the first thing I wanted to buy was Chamblees roses and boy i have another check coming in a couple of weeks. Guess what I am buying? Yeppers, folks, more roses. I LOVE this company and I am thinking about taking a trip over to Texas just to check the company out and meet the amazing staff.

CRN is well recommended by DGers who know their roses, that's why I ordered from them. The roses arrived on the promise date, and perfectly packed. There were 4 items in my order: 2 Graham Thomases and 2 Pat Austins. The latter were really TINY. 5" tall. Perhaps I ordered very late in the season?

I hope my Pat Austins grow to be lush medium shrubs or medium climbers (that's the promise size according to DA).

I will change my comment to POSITIVE then.

On June 21st, 2005, Moonglow changed the rating from neutral to positive and added the following:

Chamblee's Rose Nursery cares =). And I'm happy to report that!

After writing my NEUTRAL rating, one of CRN's horticulturist wrote to me, and I thought it was quite a gesture. I don't even know why I'm such a complainer sometimes. I'm small yet HEALTHY, like my Pat Austin's.

"Sorry the Pat Austin's were small. You were right assuming the plants were small because it was late in the season. P.A. is a very popular variety and usually sells out quickly. Chamblee's does stand behind their 90 day guarantee. If your plants don't make it through the summer, contact us and we will send replacements when we resume shipping in the fall."

One of the my 2 PAs is blooming right now. 3.5" across on a teeny-tiny rose plant.

Thank you, CRN. Until next shipping season.

This is my first experience with Chamblees and I'm very satisfied with the roses that I received. I ordered 2 DA Sophies Rose, a Belindas Dream and 2 starina minis-both minis were in full bloom in the box. Chamblees does an EXCELLENT job of packing their roses. All of them were still moist and there was very little yellowing of leaves from the transit. All of the roses have been in the ground for over 3 weeks and all of them are putting out new growth.
The only thing that I was dissapointed with and that they could improve on was that I never received a shipping confirmation from them. I even called and asked them to email the routing number but it was never sent. Other than that gripe, I will definately order again next spring. Thank you Chamblees.

I have having a really hard time deciding whether or not to post a negative rating. I’ve decided to go with neutral now and provide an update depending upon the outcome. I purchased 2 roses from Chamblee’s and was very excited for their arrival. I had requested a May 9th arrival date and I called on that date just to check on my shipping status. As I was in the process of moving, I supplied a separate billing address and shipping address – which I indicated on my order. The roses ended up at my old address in another state.

My issue is not the fact that my roses went to the old address, I understand completely that mistakes happen. My issue is that I called and spoke with the folks from Chamblee's 3 TIMES! checking on my arrival date – and not until my last call did they pull my file to see that they were shipped to the wrong place. On my previous calls, I simply got the “they are on their way” or “they are probably being held up by the ag inspector” response. If on the first call, they had pulled my file, the roses could have been re-sent and received within the 8 day window that I waited before making my next phone call.

After this last phone call, I just asked for a refund. The man on the phone said that he would refund my money right away and send a confirmation email. That was May 17. I haven’t heard anything yet – but I’ll update when/if I do.

On June 4th, 2005, ajincolorado changed the rating from neutral to negative and added the following:

How I do wish that I could at least hold my experience with Chamblee’s at a neutral rating. I wish that I had a good experience like the other writers here. As you can see from my previous postings, I have been trying to get a refund from Chamblee’s for what has now been weeks. I have called. I have emailed. And, each time I do, the response is “the president has mailed a check.” I called on Monday, May 30 and was told it was in the mail and I would receive it by Friday, June 3. Now, I know that the mail can be slow so I’ll post again later next week to see if I actually get it. The ridiculous thing about this whole experience with Chamblee’s is that it has been going on for nearly a MONTH. I am exhausted in dealing with this company. And, it shouldn’t be that way. That is unacceptable for a business holding a 100% rating, in my opinion.

Chamblee's does apologize for the inconvenience with your order. After the package got shipped to the wrong address by mistake, the company asked the customer how they could best remedy the situation. Chamblee's asked if they would like the order sent to the correct address, a refund on their credit card, or a refund check. The customer first stated that they wanted the roses sent to the correct address. The order was ready to be shipped when the customer contacted Chamblee's and said they would rather have a refund instead of the roses.

The letter sent to the customer last week stated:
"In reguards to the errors concerning order # 4446, we offer our sincere apologies. The president of the company will send you a refund check in the amount of $32.90 this week.
Thank you for your patience in this matter,
Chamblee's Rose Nursery"

Due to the size and structure of the company, checks are only cut on Fridays. A check was issued last week on Friday, June 3, 2005 in the amount of $32.90.
