Comments regarding Oakes Daylilies

I ordered 13 day lillies last spring and 17 more in the fall. All are coming up except for 4 that went in in the fall. I called Oakes yesterday and they are sending me 4 more. They are very reliable and stand behind their merchandize unlike some mail order companies I won't name. Also, the quality and size of their day lilies are wonderful! I will definitely order from them again!!

I was completely surprised at the quality and expert packaging of my daylilies. They were large well labled and clean, free of debris and pest. I would highly reccomend this company to every body. The surprise plants were just as nice or better than the ones I ordered.

I ordered daylilies from Oakes and I'm extremely happy
with them. The plants were more than generous and
very healthy. I can't remember exactly what day I placed
my first order online, but 3 days later I place a 2nd order.
Oakes shipped both orders together, therefore saving
me a 2nd shipping fee. I was quite pleased. Above
all I received both orders within a week.
Wonderful service, wonderful product.
What more could you ask for. I will certainly order
from them again.

Oakes Daylilies is my favorite source for daylilies. I have pruchased from them for several years now and have always been extremely happy with my shipments. The quality and size of the product is excellent and there is always a surprise in the box...another little treasure. Oakes makes me dream of an acre of ground and the "I Want It All Collection!" This year I have ordered Christmas gift collections for two of my grown children with gardens of their own.

This was my very first mail-order experience! I must say it was a wise decision to start with Oakes first!
A little over a month ago I recieved my order all were at least 4 fans, one was 9!!! I just couldn't believe the size and quality, all top notch! They already have grown out new leaves and you can't tell they were bare root plants not long ago.
I must say this is now the daylily company for me.

This is my favorite place to order daylilies. The prices are higher than some other catalogs, but it is worth it. They send really large plants. I usually divide each clump into 2 or 3 smaller sections of 2 fans. (It's kind of like I get 2 or 3 daylilies for the price of 1.)

They are great with the bonuses! I placed an order for more than $150 which included some $20 daylilies. I received bonus plants which were pretty pricey in the catalog. They even bonused me with a second of my $20 daylily.

You cannot go wrong here. They're really nice on the phone, too. :)

It is obvious that Oakes doesn't need another positive rating, but when you deserve it--you should get it. I placed my first order for 1 daylily that was $20.00. They asked what I would like for a bonus and I didn't fill it out because I thought no one was going to give me a bonus with such a small order. I was wrong! I got 2 free daylilies. Everything looked great. Fantastic company!!

An absolutely excellent experience! I ordered two daylilies from Oakes, and they arrived in perfect condition and were huge -- at least three fans each!! Wonderful selection, great prices, and a lot of daylily for your money -- what more can you ask for? ;)

I bought daylilies from Oakes as a birthday present for my Mother. She cannot stop talking about the size of the plants she received. I will certainly place my spring order with them. They have terrific customer service, There was a problem with my order and they called me the next day to let me know.

As usual the plants were multi fanned and a nice bonus sent. They are sometimes more pricey than others...but I stick to mostly plants that are 10 and under and for these they are a great source.

Thanks to Garden Watchdog, I ordered 30-40 (?) daylilies from Oakes. Prior to ordering, the only daylily I'd ever seen was 'Stargazer' & didn't know "it" was a bulb until 6 mos. ago! Also, had no idea how to plant, where to plant, etc. so, before placing my order, emailed Oakes for information. I received a detailed reply addressing every question (thank you, Oakes). The bulbs received were HUGE & there were so many extras, I had to find "new space" for them. My 7 x 12 lily garden may not be the biggest one in Albuquerque but it is beautiful! Anyone who considers buying from another source is a foolish person, indeed. Oakes deserves a BIG Gold Star.

I buy from Oakes all the time. The quality of their plants is unsurpased. The don't just send you skimpy one fan divisions but they send large clumps. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The customer really gets the impression the company really cares.

I ordered a nice assortment of daylilies from this company. They all arrived in fine shape and have done very well in my garden. The company even threw in a gift. I would order again from this company.

I purchased the mixed assortment of daylilies (a terrific value), and received three free named daylilies as a bonus. Wow! The fans are huge and healthy looking. I can't wait to see what flowers turn up in the assortment! When I called customer service to check on when I could expect my shipment, the woman who answered the phone was quite friendly, and quickly answered my question. I will definitely be a repeat customer, and will recommend Oakes to my friends.

I received my order today of Violet Hour plus a bonus. Incredibly nice plants. This is my first expierience with daylilies and I'm sure if I like these two, I'll be back to acquire some more. However, I feel confident from the quality of these plants that I'll be hopelessly addicted.

I just ordered from Oakes Daylilies for the first time, after hearing good things about them at Garden Watchdog and other places online. I received a bonus plant for being a first-time customer. Then, there is the surprise bonus plant that comes with each order. There is a place on the order form to list your preferences. I asked if they happened to have 'Hyperion,' which I had to leave behind when I moved. Guess what. They had it! I'm *so* happy to be able to enjoy this variety again.

The bareroot plants are large and healthy. I would definitely order from this company again.

I have ordered from Oakes Daylilies in the past and recevied huge plants at more than reasonable prices. Each plant is at least three fans which you can either separate or plant. So actually, you get three plants for the price of one. This is the best Daylily-lily bulb company that I have ordered from bar none. I recommend this company to everyone who views my daylily/lily beds and exclaim at the beautiful healthy plants that I have. I also pass my catalog around to friends and family, share website address and whatever it takes to get them in the "know" of a fine mail order company. Thanks Oakes Daylilies. You are the Best.

This was my first order with Paradise Garden-Oakes Daylily, I regulary order plans via mail/email and few companies have provided me with the level of services that I recieved from Paradise Garden-Oakes Daylily! I was impressed with how timely my order was processed and the company's contacted via email to advise me that my order had been processed even before my check had been recieved! The plants I recieved via 3 day Ups delievery were well packaged and healthy, included with my plants were concise planting instructions and two lovely full color Daylily Catalogues. I was so impressed with the service I recieved, I have passed the company's information around my office and I am sure there will be other orders from my office, I will order again from this company!

My 1st order with Oakes Daylilies, but I will definitely be back! My order was received promptly. The plants were well packaged and all the plants are gorgeous! Huge, healthy, smells so fresh right out of the box. A very generous bonus set of bulbs, to coordinate with the others in my order. I both called and emailed Oakes with questions, their customer service is excellent, super friendly with quick response.

I placed my first order on March 15th and received them on March 19. Now that is fast service! All of the daylilies were in perfect condition. All but one can be divided keeping three fans per plant! I looked through the catalog already and will order more shortly. Great Job, Oakes!!!

They sent huge daylily divisions which were well packed and labelled. The "bonus" daylilies were nice to have as well. Would order from them again.

I had never ordered daylilies before, though I have received them as bonus plants from other merchants a couple of times (though those have not bloomed yet, in their 2nd year). I decided to give Oakes a try, after reading reviews here and deciding that they might be a good fit for my climate. I will agree with other customers that they are HUGE...I even had one with seven fans on it!!! Most in this last shipment had four or more. The plants I ordered last fall arrived very promptly, and I ordered some more over the winter that came before last weekend, so I was able to plant them already. The plants are healthy appearing and have already begun to send up shoots. I feel very confident in this company, and will continue to order from them.

Oh my good gosh! Oakes is the best. Ordered daylilies about 3 weeks ago and planted the same day after soaking in a bath water and mild fertilizer. Some are already almost a foot tall. Suppose to light freeze tonight, so I lightly covered them with light compost. They were large rhizomes and I made 2 plants of them, 3 out of some. I selected Miss Victoria,So Lovely and Chosen Love. Chosen Love was the most expensive one and they sent me a bonus of it. They are great! Just wish spring would hurry so I can order some more.Thanks Oakes!!!

I just rec'd my first order from Oakes Daylilies and I must say I was impressed! The root systems are huge and one of the plants even graciously divided itself while soaking. The bonus plant was even bigger than the ones I'd ordered and the shipping was very fast! Will definately be ordering from them again.

I ordered the red collection just a few days ago and they arrived last Friday and were huge. At least 3 fans each and some more. They look as though they are very healthy with a huge root system, of course I won't know for sure until next year when they come up but I am confident that they will be fine. I would deffinitly order from them again. I am a daylilly fanatic and have to have every one I see. A really bad thing as I am running out of space.

I placed an order with Paradise Gardens and was very satisfied. But because of the high ratings for Oak Lilies and the 30% price discount I gave them a shot with an order for 50+ plants. I indicated the bonus plants should be duplicates of my selection. The bonus plants I received were not the cheap plants but included many of the $20-30 plants. Everything came in good order, good size and labeled. I can't wait until next year. Have no fear to order here.

Our shipment was received in great condition. Every plant we ordered was at least 3 top quality fans. Every bonus plant we selected we received which is definitely a plus for a company. They were well tagged and tied together. Our packing list was in alphabetical order and very neat. The shipment was received on the exact day as we were told. When we visited the farm the staff was very informative. The office staff was very friendly and helpful when called for information about our order. We have to very definitely give Oakes Daylily Farms an excellent rating for top quality plants and service.

Great company! Order came very quickly and well packed. All the daylilies were labelled and much larger than ones I buy at the best nurseries in Houston. I bought many of the lower priced plants and I'm very impressed for the money.

Great company and great product!!! The plants I ordered this spring were HUGE for divisions and I split them into threes for a real show next year. Can't recommend them highly enough for LARGE divisions at great prices-think 3 for 1.

Ordered 3 ruby throat last summer. The plants were huge 3+ fans as promised. They even threw in a free 6 fan Chicago Cherry ($10 value)...impressive considering mine was only a $30 order. The flower show this year was amazing. Quick shipping, fantastic plants, huge selection, and excellent customer service. A FLAWLESS experience. May have to try Oakes Peonies next season....

More kudos for the folks at the Oakes nursery! The website is wonderful and the selection is vast. Nothing, however, tops the incredible quality of the plant material. I must say I have never received anything of this size by mail. When I received the box I could not think why it should be so heavy. Imagine my surprise when I opened it to find not one but two extemely large divisions, one a bonus plant! Both are happily thriving in the garden. When I first ordered I thought the prices were a tad high, but now I realize they are more than reasonable. I am hooked.

Outstanding! I placed my first (but definitely not the last) order, and received my plants in less than a week. Everything was in great shape, and all of the fans were large enough to be divided before I planted them. Taking into account the large fans that I divided, and the free bonus plant & free first order gift plant, I essentially got 3 times more plants than I paid for!

The people are nice and the plants are first-rate... I highly recommend this company!

Wonderful company. Recieved my shipment about a week ago, all daylilies were fresh and well packaged, and all were very large divisions (at least 3 fans). I also ordered late in season and all varieties were in stock. I'm looking forward to ordering from them again and again...
