I also called about the status of a backordered item and the phone customer service rep was very friendly and helpful and really knew the products. I have been very happy with the quality of all of the merchandise I have ordered as it is exactly as represented in the catalogs and on the website.

I had ordered something last week and paid extra for second day air via UPS. The items arrived and one was totally broken. It was something ceramic, a "toad trailer" to be exact, so don't laugh! I called the company and talked to customer service. I was told they would replace the item, and I did not need to send anything back. They apologized because it was Friday and it wouldn't go out until Monday. I received it today, Tuesday by next day air. I am totally pleased with the company and will order from them again.

My first experience with the company was falling head over heels for an enormous tumbling composter -- that was discontinued, but I took a chance that they might still have one at their outlet store -- we made the trip to the store in person, I had the photo and description from the website, and sure enough, they still had a few in the back! I was impressed that the staff knew their extensive merchandise line well and even made suggestions of items they had personally used. I bought several large and bulky items, that one of the staffers took out of the original packing and helped me pack into my small car (no easy feat)!

When I got home, I was the envy of my neighbors with the sturdiest tomato cages ever, the incredible HUGE composter and the tractor scoot! All of the items are very well-made, durable and easy to assemble, and the container booster mix they sell did wonders for my 30' by 2' brick planter. I had hoped to make another trip to the retail store and outlet a few weeks ago, but my plans changed... and that day a free shipping offer came by email-- I got to order the huge hose cart and several organic products -- on sale! What is the most amazing is that the items were ordered on Saturday and I had them delivered to me the following Wednesday!!!
Not nearly as much fun as a trip to Burlington VT in the springtime, but much easier on the car!
I HIGHLY recommend them and am glad to see them listed in the Top 30.

This company has great merchandise and wonderful customer service. I placed an order with them in January that failed to show up. After 2 1/2 weeks of no package I called and spoke with a really nice customer service representative who assured me they'd re-ship the next day. And they did. Turns out UPS has messed up the original shipment and after they heard from Gardener's Supply they became very active in trying to locate that package. The Garderner's Supply re-shipment arrived only a few days after my call. So prompt! Ironically UPS finally located my original package - 2 months after shipment. Thanks Gardener's Supply!

They immediately sent me a replacement bowl. The gardening supplies tend to be the highest quality available. I can't wait to use my new hose caddy and the heavy duty tomato ladders!

They seem to have most everything a gardener (or others) would need, want or crave. Once in a while I've had to call customer service, and have been pleased with the results. This is one of the very few places I would recommend because they are consistent with results.

The only disappointing thing about this company is the high price of shipping. I try to avoid orders of single small items because the shipping almost doubles the price. But if you are placing a larger order, the cost of shipping ends up feeling more reasonable.

I contacted customer service via e-mail and a woman told me that she could not add the extra item because my order had already shipped out. But she offered to apply the quantity discount to the item I wanted to add (since I had already ordered a similar item) and to also ship it for free since I'd used a free shipping code on the original order. She went out of her way to help me and I was very impressed. I'm looking forward to receiving both shipments! Once again I've had a good experience with Gardener's Supply.

Later on I realized I had forgotten to buy for Harry, our rescue Lhasa. I filled out the form and saw there was a shipping charge for orders under $75.00. I emailed the company, they replied promptly and asked me to send them the data on what I wanted to order. I did, they added it to my order and there will be no shipping charges.

The negative comment above, on the fact that they didn't have a specific tool, was absurd. How could one company be expected to have every possible tool in every size, etc.

The next business day, I received a call from them letting me know that I had entered an incorrect credit card number, and when I called back to correct it, I found their customer service rep to be very friendly and laid back.

A week later I received my little nematodes. Two days after I applied them to the soil, I HAVE NO MORE FUNGUS GNATS!!!

I will definitely be ordering from Gardener's again, it really was one of the best gardening transactions I've had in a long time.
