That was what I was thinking--so thanks for giving feedback. I don't have many places to move it though that fit that, not a lot of shade here with all my roses needing sun and I hate blocking my views with trees. I guess I could move it to where I usually plant morning glories and see if they intertwine? I thought I would just move it when it starts warming up and looking bad anyhow.
What's blooming in your garden ?
CP, I agree with Marie. They need good drainage and good, soil ( I always add compost in the hole before planting )
and even though some 'specialists' believe that the saying 'feet in the shade, head in the sun' is just a myth, I still do it
and I have good results.
Try to move it in a place that gets morning sun and you should see an improvement. They like to be fertlized too.
This is the only one that I keep in a pot. It is specifically bread for containers and it does beautifully. It's name is Vienetta.
Detrick, that is agorgeous iris ! I wish you knew the name so I can order one.
I like the Amarillys too.
i thought it was bewilderbeast. other pics on dave tell a different story. :) i'll let you know when i divide it.
Can I be the first one on your list if you have some to give, please, please , please ?
I want in that line too!! D if that does not turn out to be the right amaryllis I will make sure you get it once I figure out which is which.
OMG! I love that iris. Now you will have me ordering more iris! LOL! I didn't know they had any this red. I can't wait for you to divide--too impatient.
Thanks Rodicap, I knew that adage about cool feet so I have a rock at the base to keep it cooler and moister. It wouldn't be a good plan to put it by the MG's though as you reminded me it likes fertilizer and they do not like to be fertilized. So maybe I will just fertilize it and not move it.
WOW! Eeyoooeee! Dete, that's a beaut!
thanks ladies. now if we can just get a name. :)
i need to find a way to tag them so i know what's what.
Susie
thanks for the id on the iris.
Ditto what everyone else said about that iris... just amazing, great color...

Horray, Rodica! What a happy rose!
I can not thank you enough for that one, Brenda. :O)
CP, those are gorgeous ! Names, please.
What a beautiful collage, CP!
Ahhhh, nicely done CP.
orange theme now. nice blooms!
Wow, that's very nice. What type of fertilizer do adeniums like and how often? Guess I could wander over to the adenium forum. I have one, not quite like that one, but it has never bloomed.
I use miracle grow in an injector system in the greenhouse water so all the plants get the same, a small amount each time I water. adeniums don't really need much food and a weak organic fertilizer a couple of times a year will do nicely.

That is beautiful ! I know I can not keep one alive since I water too much , but I can admire when somebody else has such a success with them. Great job !
If you use a palm or cactus type mix and add some perlite for more drainage you will be fine. They are not frost tolerant but will grow outside here otherwise as they are a native of the African deserts.
Nice blooms Boo !
nice pics boo! i like the color schemes.
Nice bloomers, everyone!
Gee, I can finally add a bit to the blooming season. Our Candy Tufts are blooming, they don't have very big 'tufts', but I'll take ANY flowers about now! Even the yellow Dandelions are starting to look good to me at this point! ^_^ We do have Alpine Strawberries, Violets, and fruit trees blooming, but NO TBI. It looks as though the River Birch may have experienced a top kill. We only see green budding out at lower levels. 8^( It's bark is snow white and peeling, whereas the Quaking Aspen's bark still hasn't gotten it's white color yet.
Candy Tuft
LOL HJM I hear you. My spring bulbous things are putting on a prettiful show though ^_^
