My favorite part of the day is walking the garden(s), listening to the birds, finding new growth, or mindlessly doting on the beauty of nature. Occasionally, this lovely respite from mean old Mr. Reality is interrupted by ill-fated critters or diseases that dare enter my oasis... but with relentless care and determination I fend off the obstacles that would deter the growth of my "babies". After spending 30 years of my life in the Northeast, I moved to the lovely Arizona desert. That was 15 years ago, and I have only been living in a home that has space for gardens for the past 3 1/2. Very British Signifigant Other (V.B.S.O.) and I have worked diligently to bring our gardens to their now spectacular greatness (if I do say so myself), but there is always more to do...." |
