I made this collage of some of the blooms in my yard last week. My first rose bloomed three days ago. This is prime time for cactus blooms too. I love Spring!

And another one:

These little crocus were almost comletely mowed down by bunnies, and yet the sprang back up and bloomed, some of them with little or no grass..

A month ago I had very little in flower, maybe a dozen plants at most. Now there's flowers everywhere. So many I just popped them into a slideshow on Photobucket. Enjoy!

Here in Northern CA the winter was warm overall - a few cold spells but nothing major. I never even got a chance to prune back my roses so they are 6' tall and fully leafed-out already! You can see my 'Intrigue' rose standard is as big now as it would normally be in June:

Great slideshow, lovely blooms. Our winter was very mild and my roses didn't lose all their leaves either. I just pruned them anyhow in Feb. They are covered with leaves and some are blooming now, so I guess they didn't mind!

Nice pictures. Dale how do you get a delphinium to grow in Florida? I got one to live a couple of years but it really struggled and finally died from the heat.

Hello,

I've sure enjoyed this thread. We've had a veryyyyyy long winter so the cheery photos have been nice. Mostly, I've just had crocus blooming, but these bulbs in a corner box kept calling to me. I decided that I had not seen anyone post a photo of Chionodoxa 'Glory in the Snow'. These never fail to bloom right on the heels of the crocus. I realized I also have mini-daffodils blooming too. I think I'll combine a pot next year with the Glory's AND the mini-daffodils. It would be very bright!
