Lily Pictures Show us your best!

Which reminds me...I can hardly wait for the PNWLS Spring Sale..another month or so I would guess.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Well, I thought so. I'll go look it up...

Mag, you haven't posted some of my favs (that I know you have). I would love to see your Sans Souci, My Precious, Sonora, or Allegretto (Pard you'd love that one since it is yellow).

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Now why would my yellow Pink Flare remind you of the PNWLS? another Ha ha ha!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

I'm sitting under a nice warm blanket on a computer that doesn't hold my pictures. I've been cold ever since I left the ice rink. I promise I'll post more when I get warm, which might be tomorrow.

'San Souci' I could have a million of, I love it. I love them all (the lilies), but some are just too lovely for words.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

I need to put Allegretto on my list. I just don't know where I can plant all of these wants!

Description of Pink Flares: "...luminous rose flowers flare just enough to show their beautiful lemon throats..."

I think the lemon throat took over on my Pink Flare!

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

Now you see why I think pictures are better than descriptions. Just the simple word PINK in a name might MAKE me buy it. I love pink lilies.

From 2006, Moby's Donut. Gone but not forgotten. Haven't seen one like this since :-((

Magnolia, I bought Pink Flares because it WAS supposed to be pink. I think the problem is either the grower or the packer got it mixed up. But then again, I have gotten some pretty nice lilies that have been mislabeld!

A nice little pastel salmon color seedling from 2006 (anthers removed).

Moby's Donut came from seed, right? It was only around for one year? That is one adorable lily.

Maybe the grower and the packer got it mixed up. Seems like my 'Pink Flares' had some pink...maybe. I just can't remember.

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Yes, a seedling from Cascade. I had Moby's Donut for a couple of years before I joined this site, so I got a bit more enjoyment from it. Aren't you growing out some seed from it, if I remember right?

Moby's Swan Dive comes back every year. Quite a tall Asiatic

Pard, when did you get your Pink Flares? I ordered Copper Crown fall of 2007 from PNWLS and it looks an awful like what you got instead of Pink Flares... :)

This was the Fall 2007 sale. Copper Crown was also sold at that sale. Copper Crown should be more coppery bronzish color. Well, we can take another look at these this summer when they bloom again. Stay tuned.

Somebody ate my Donut?? Drat!

Are we a sad bunch or what? This thread has been open less than 24 hours and we're already over 200 posts. All these beauties make me positively giddy. Happy to add that I got my B&D lily porn on Saturday.

Here is a yellow whose name I don't know

Maybe you have a Pink Flare there, Moby.

We are pathetic.... (hanging my head)

Muscadet, I think.

Oh, I think this is hopeful and healthy, but it must be slow for dial up to open.
This lovely was not as I had labelled it.

What was it supposed to be?

LOL Pard I was thinking 'pathetic' but thought I'd err on the side of politeness.

Yeah, sure... I can see the pink in it! ;) I got that yellow trumpet a couple years ago from a gal who didn't know what it was either.

This is Champagne

It was labelled Showboat, but Showboat showed up elsewhere. It was so fragrant, tall, and long lasting.

This has got to be about the record for the most replies in a single thread in one day.

Certainly the post pics posted . . .

Glad to have you share your beauties with us, Katye.

This pic of Pink Perfection always strikes me funny ~ it looks like it was caught twirling in the garden.
