I took the magnolia leaf steps I made with the girls and brought it out to make the bed larger last fall. It began as a small memorial garden for my dog Bugsy.

L. nepalese is gorgeous. It is one I have always wanted....

I think some of the lilies i got last spring were unhappy that they were planted too late. I had many that put up foliage, but no buds. 'Merry Minstrels' is really nice.

Manissa...

I also have nepalense seedlings coming along, at least I still hope they are! One of them put up a weak budless stem last year so this year it might actually bloom, I hope.

I liked your lily guard, jmorth. We all need a guardian or two just to keep out the riff raff, don't we?

You'll have a nice colony of those in a year or two, Ticker. That is one of the OTs that just keep on dividing out. I love it. And it looks pretty great at your house, I must say.

Go Go 'Godzilla'

Oooh, Mags, Moby is going to get you for that "Go Go Godzilla!" LOL

This picture doesn't do this next one justice, it's a lily you have to see in person to truely appreciate.

Yup, you're right. That one and it's color surprised me, holding up nicely in the Midwestern heat.
