OH..My favorite look.. I was going to have nothing but variegated plants in my garden.... to try and keep the size down.but gave in first with roses.. and then plumeria.. as there were no variegated ones when I started years ago... then i just gave in... but there are plenty still.. here's a few that are blooming today..
thanks folks.. love them all... they are all welcome here..

gothqueen, the collinsii picture was taken the day you started this thread. I went and took a few pictures, but it takes me a while to get their names correct.

Dale,
your 'tropical plant' is Calathea lancifolia

My sea hibiscus, this one stays in the ground and I am hoping it will do OK this year, we are around 10 degrees cooler than usual for this time of year.

My variegated lemon; I believe it is a Eureka variation. The outside of the fruit is striped and the inside is pink.

My false agave; for the life of me I can't remember the name right now. Something that sounds like Furfuracia.
Sorry about the ribbons, I have them woven all over the plants on the deck for the holidays. ALso sorry about that dead looking leaf. Why don't I ever see things like that until I see the photo?????

Edited to add: AhHa, the correct name is Furcraea foetida!

Also should have mentioned earlier what a great idea for a thread this is. I am getting all kinds of ideas from it. Now, if only the economic situation would turn around so I can afford to acquire all these good ideas. :-)
