I think there are probably still hardy hibiscus (H. moscheutos, hybrids so who knows what you'll get from the seed, but odds are it won't be ugly LOL) and rose of sharon (H. syriacus) seeds "out there" in the garden... should I go get 'em?

Thanks everyone. I think I have everyone straight and I'm keeping a back-up too...color coded and the whole bit (can we say anal?) It's still a good idea to check my progress on the list thread. I just got a D from Chele pointing out that I'd missed one of her requests.

The hardy hibiscus that came from me came up identical to their parents. I absconded the seed from my neighbor who told me it was labeled only as "hardy hibiscus." My plants look exactly like his, which BTW are a mix of whites, pinks, and burgundies.

isn't it funny how we raid our neighbors gardens for MORE seeds.
my neighbor comes to my plants too.... she even had her sister out one day.

tcs.... you had a d-mail from one of the hurrican victims on the first thread on one of your posts. Were you able to get Cypress vine? I have some that I can donate.

Cheles, I brought my Acanthus in for the winter and so far it is doing ok. I keep it in the garage which doesn't get below 45 degrees most of the winter.

Did someone ask for Hardy Hibiscus, I have white, hot pink, and a light pink with a darker pink center.

if anyone has some zinnia profusion I would love some-mixed colors is fine:) Also-Star-was it you that had Cuphea??

Stace I have profusion zinnias. I am out of the apricot, but I still have cherry, coral pink, and orange. Shall I tag those for you?

I'm not sure if there is anything on my list that perks your interest. I can check around here. I'm always finding envelopes that I stuffed throughout the season. I'm sure you already have Mexican Sunflower. Thats a definate hummer attracter.

frausnow, I have marigolds for you as well, collected from Park's Whopper hybrids. Also have black single hollyhocks and a mix of pink, rose, and peach hollyhocks as well. You mentioned Salvias on your want list, I have S.coccinea 'Hummingbird Red' and 'Coral Nymph'. Have some snapdragon pods drying, and looks like there's plenty of seed falling out already- they're tall mixed colors.

From your have list, I'm interested in Celosia cristata, Lance leaved Coreopsis, mixed pink Sweet William, yellow Scabiosa, and Japanese red maple.

Cordeledawg, I'd like some of both Coreopsis tinctora colors you have, as well as false sunflower and any or all of your Echinacea.

Frausnow may I have American Beautyberry and Japanese Maple?

Mamawk, is you Yucca fifilera hardy in your zone, if it is I waould like that please.

gypsyrose -- I have some Butterfly Weed if you need some. I'll go thru what i have to see how many 'packets' i can get out of it. I should have it blooming next year, so then i will have more seeds than i know what to do with.

Yes you can Deb. It's a nice small tree and the birds love it. I have it next to my bedroom window and I can always wake up to the chatters of the feathered kind when ever I want. Even in the winter the Cardinals just seem to sit in it all day. It brought all kinds of butterflies too.

frausnow - I'll put you down. Is your amaryllis spoken for yet? I love the challenge of seeds and then having the surprise of the unknown color.....kinda like Christmas.

Lala - I wasn't going to tell on you! I'm paranoid of missing someone too!

How long would you say it takes to be say, 5' tall? Three years or more from seed?

Updating my list daily as I find more seeds and I have to go through more of the inventory still...

For the time being, I am closing the salvia "Blue Queen" and "Rose Queen", but I will make sure I can cover the requests to date...If I have any more, I will post it on my list on the other thread...

I would say at least 3, but with your zone it might do it in 2 since you have a longer growing cycle.

Darn did I miss out on Ammy seeds. If they are older than 3 - 4 months the germination is cut in half and not as viable.
