Danita

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

I got everyone who asked for seeds thus far, including the Dmails.

I'll edit in the Am, as i am out for the day.

Nite all..........

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Oppppssss.. .I went downstairs to go thru some of my seeds to start getting them 'ready'

I inadvertently gave away ALL of my GrandPa Ott MG seed to Lorianne for her Newbie seed packets.

SO far, i've only had 1 person ask for them... and HOPEFULLY my neighbor has not torn hers down yet, and i'll be able to get some seeds.

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

Arrr. I still can't edit. So I just re-read the whole thread :-)

Nbgard- can I ask for Moonflower Vine please?
Gemini- may I try the Formosa Lily please?
Heavinscent- I would love some Loves lies bleeding please.
Starlight- can I try your Chaenarrhinom 'summer skies' please?
And Maozamom, It's me again :-) may I ask to try the Indian giver daylily please?

Perenniallyme- I have candylily here, a reddish orange. I'll pack some up for you. While I'm obviously on a piggy roll, do you happen to have some white tiger lily seeds left?

Jamaica Plain, MA(Zone 6a)

Starlight, can I have your dwarf blue delphinium, and do you happen to know the cultivar?

Lala_Jane, do you have any echinacea "harvest moon" left?

Gemini-sage, as to your "anything in citrus that will do well in shade" I wanted to suggest corydalis lutea, which I think Tuinkabouter has.( If not I'll have plenty of strays in spring). You can plant them under trees and they flower from spring til fall.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Have everybody who asked me for stuff, recorded. : )

Browns Mills, NJ(Zone 6b)

Heavenscent- I have some Passion Flower (Edulis) seeds for you also
Pull Tab- I dug in my box and actually found some purple passion flower (incarnata) for you also.

I'm going to update my list now. I will be adding
1- Clematis- Nellie Moser
1- Clematis- Princess Diana
2- Candy Lily- reddish/orange

I'm also going to add some of my wish list so that I can be added to the list. I'm having a hard time with it for some reason. I have a fairly new yard and have added so much in the last few years, I don't know what is out there until I see it! So, it will be half-finished for now :-)
Andrea

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Are we going to have a separate thread at some point for keeping track of our have/want posts? I'm talking about a thread where each person makes only 1 post and then edits it as needed, so the thread won't get too long to be easily accessed.

Otherwise, it looks like we'll end up searching through several threads looking for various people's lists. These posts are piling up! :-)

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

I'm doing all my editing in the one post.... and if i make a major change, i'll make a post with the link back to my post.

i too, think it will get too confusing searching all the posts for added seeds.

I found that very helpful in the last Piggy thread.

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

Thats a good idea critter, I was thinking this is going to get confusing. Why don't we copy and paste our lists to another thread without chat, and just edit as needed?

Leesburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Do you mean -- like having a completely new thread, say, entitled Fall Frenzy HAVES/Wants List ?? [copy over all of our lists ] Keeping the threads strictly LISTS
then come back here and do the "asking"?

I think that sounds feasible -- but it may get confusing with 3 different threads... the Chat one included.

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

Maybe just 2 threads, 1 for chat and 1 for a post with a Have list followed by a Want list, like pretty much everyone has it set up. I kinda like being able to see someones haves and wants at a glance.

New Braunfels, TX(Zone 8b)

As a newbie with no prior experience, I'm game for whatever y'all suggest. It sure sounds like different strategies are working for different folks, i.e. d-mailing for tracking purposes, new posts for any changes etc., but it does sound like a thread where each persons personal haves and wants updated in a single post would be a simple way to track it. Like I said, I'm game for whatever. Havin' a real blast with this! I do believe my nose is getting flatter and rounder as we speak!

Critter, did I miss your list? You are so prominent on DG's with your vast amount of knowledge that I have been looking forward to seeing what you have to offer.

Tonya

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

I've got a start on my list... I'll add to it as I go through older seeds. Common names are listed after botanical names. WS means I believe the seed should work well with the winter sowing method. Sorry if the double spacing makes for a long post, but I need bookkeeping room to jot down requests. Will try to edit number in front to show when all are taken.

Availability is not absolutely guaranteed, as many seeds still need to be sorted out & packed up. I put 5 of most to start, but I've got more of many of these, so ask even if you think they may be gone. :-)

FLOWERS & HERBS:

2 Achillea, white heirloom (2008) WS, self-sows freely

5 Agastache foeniculum, 'Honey Bee Blue' (2008)

North West, OH(Zone 5b)

I was going to suggest the same thing...or something similar. I would like to have a place to post the "give" and "take" lists for everyone to see. That way everyone can check to makes sure that all the "gimmees" have all been heard. I'm keeping track like this:

Promised:
Neal: Profusion Zinnias, Apricot, Orange, and Coral Pink
Maozamom: Red Castor Bean
nbgard (Tonya): zinnia profusion apricot and coral pink
etc.

Requested:
Starlight: Cineraria ‘Jester Pure Light Yellow’
Pepper ‘Cubanelle’
Pepper ‘Sweet Long Mix’
Therese:
Scarlet Flax
Disco Red and Mars Marigolds.
etc.

Would it be possible to have a thread dedicated to something like this? Of I posted this here it would be swallowed up in a minute.

Got your harvest moon perennially

North West, OH(Zone 5b)

Critter I've got to hurry up and go through last year's seed bag. I know you have a few things I'd like, but I may still have some left from last year. I know what my project tonight is going to be!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Lala, I'm thinking that your "promised" and "requested" lists following your "haves" list might be the way to go. I was going to track seeds people requested (same as your "promised") after each entry on my haves list, but this seems simpler somehow.

I do think we need a separate thread with just 1 post per person.

North West, OH(Zone 5b)

I agree. I guess the format doesn't matter as long as there is one spot dedicated too haves, wants, promised, requested, whatever - without all the banter attached.
