Potting plants. I have been experimenting.

Take egg carton cut to fit the pot you are planting in. The side the eggs are in. Put soil in plant the plant. It will hold extra water so you don't have to water as often. I have planted one or two like that and they have been looking good all summer. I will be bring them in this winter and will see how they do. Also I planted my tomato plants with the cardboard egg carton this summer, mostly for nurishment for the plants. They had a late start because of the time I got them planted. But they have done better than any I have planted in a bucket so far. A lot more tomato's this year. You can also try a few and see what you think.

Those are great ideas! Does the egg carton decompose after a while?
