October Daily Weather II, What's happening in your yard?

Springboro, PA(Zone 5a)

37°F, clear skies and more frost expected by morning. Sun, sun, sun expected tomorrow with a high in the upper 50's. I worked outside most of the day and went for a ride late this evening to look for a few photos. I'm planning on a long bike ride along the Allegheny River tomorrow.

Joey...........The leaves are at peak here. I have very little to bring inside. Still plenty of apples to pick though.

Ric..........My wife and I saw the Indiana Jones movie in the theater. We were the only ones there!

Rann............I eat oatmeal just about every day. It's hard to beat from a health standpoint. We have an Amish "used "grocery store near here. I buy it in the individual packets really cheap.

se_eds.........Another great day for outside chores. My wife has been busy baking apple pies and dumplings. I've been eating way too much!

marsue..........You're doing better then me. I still have plants I bought at garden club sales last spring and early summer I need to plant.

Here are a few autumn photos from my evening drive.

43° here now and dropping fast.
It was 52° when we went into the Hot Tub an hour ago....
That's 52° outside the tub was 101° LOL!

E_B those pictures scream Pennsylvania Deutsch to me.
Well maybe not the last one but I love those 'Hot' accent colors on the cupola and doors!
I think the reason the Indy movie didn't do better is the long lag between movies.
In THX it rocked the house!

Marsue Marcy says Hi! back.
She's doing great and her PT is going very well!
She'll DMail you.

Well it looks like a bunch of woodworking to be done tomorrow!
And PERFECT weather to do it in!

Ric: I read in the paper that Harrison Ford said they are talking about doing one more Indiana Jones movie.
Joey: I spent the day bringing in the tender tropicals as we were forecast to get into the 40s. LOL. Nothing like your freeze warning! I saw the N.R. bridge on TV; CNN was showing the base jumpers.
Rann: If it goes on too much longer, and you run out of cereal, just say the word! ;->

Currently 49. Rained all day Sat.; hoping for sunshine today.

This was the area we always get the first Frosts.
Plus the cool glass and metal act like a magnet its seems.

The back, front and side yards look OK.
A heavy dew fell but the dense vegatation and tons of rock held just enough heat in to stave off damage.
My indicator plants look OK so far.
Castor Beans and Persian Shield wilt immediately if they get frost bit.
Others take a few hours for the damage to show up....... we'll see........

My old home town is 40 miles north.
Same temps but a 5 MPH NE wind..... they are showing Wind Chill of 32°!
Had we left the plants up at Marcy's they would have been toast.... they are in open farm land and 20 miles farther north....

I don't think I posted an indoor window test fit shot.
Here's where we're starting today.
After the 45° angle lower framing is done that post will come out.
Shelves will be put in the windows for plants.
