David can one abuse a smile? lol I don't get it anyway. I'm so confused and don't know how to do it. So it is a good thing, I have been known to abuse a smile now and then.

Smilies are like spices -- just a little bit will do. Otherwise they're overwhelming.
It's good to see a few on threads, but not popping up like measles in every post!

Yeah too much of a good thing, is annoyingly cheezy.

personally, I think smilies should be allowed.........as long as they are done in good taste. There is a whole world of smilies out there and in my opinion they are not only cute and friendly, they add some happiness to a post.
