Spring Blooms!

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Thanks guys but you know mother nature does all the work, I just push the button. :)

David you have so many lovely crocus. Such a nice rosey color, it reminds me of a mini water lily. So delicate.

Congrats!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thank you... you had to see the smile on my face when I got out of the car from work and saw all the little babies

Mine are still just buds, but soon. Yours are lovely.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice welcome home, eh?!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

no doubt

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Very nice, onewish.

Debilu - with tomorrow's warm afternoon temperatures you will probably get some blooms.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I just looked at the extended forecast and it has improved since this morning, I think Spring has sprung!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Ohhhhhh, look....
I thought it was just purple pansies, but look at this....

WooHoo! Congratulations Alison!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Sharran, those are beautiful! I love the color.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great hellebores, Sharon! Was the pot left outside?! By the way, Celeste (pixie) has the patent on that hand model shot!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

very pretty Sharran

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Lovely, Sharon.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

OOPS...sorry Pixie. I was just so surprised to see them. I had to raise their little heads up.
Yes, Victor, it was left outside, I even forgot I had the plant. Don't mean to bring up sad stuff, but last April when my husband died, people brought me plants and more plants, I stuck them wherever i could, and honestly forgot what I had. It was not the summer of the flowers...if they survived, they did it on their own.
BUT...when I walked around the house late yesterday, there it was. I will put it in the ground this year so it will have an even better chance to be beautiful!
I just had to share.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - it wasn't sheltered or filled with leaves or anything? South side of the house?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Are yours in full sun or part shade, Sharon?

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

East side of the house....no shelter, but I had about 5 larger pots in that spot and when everything died back last fall, I just stuck pansies in the pots (pansies were another gift.) the pansies of course bloomed all winter.

Surprised me.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Speaking of sharing....DH, son Joshua & Mallory bought me a beautiful array of flowers today.

Very nice and very thoughtful. But where's your hand??

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

They're exactly three months early for your birthday! Beautiful flowers, Pixie.

a different one.

No hand needed in this, besides Sharran has stolen my patent!

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

They were against the house, so they got morning sun all the way till noon, Pirl. This is the only one I have, the only helleborus, I mean....I don't know where to put it now, I have never had one before. Tell me what they need.

You know we don't get very bad winter weather, and it was nearly 70 today, for example....My daffs have been blooming for 2 weeks and the pear trees are in full bloom.

So what should I do with the Lenten rose?? (I know what it is because Aunt Bett told me!!)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Shade to part shade.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

Ahhhh, Pixie, how beautiful.
You can have your hand back, I didn't know.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh, I don't mind......nice that someone else does it besides me! LOL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I must remember to do it now.

Calvert City, KY(Zone 7a)

If you have hairy hands, it doesn't count, Victor.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Only one is.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

You shave the other??

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The one with the sock on it?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I have no secrets anymore!! I shave the one for a clearer shot of my fingers when they are called upon to communicate my feelings to other drivers.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Are you sure you're in Sing-Sing and not Bellevue?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Not much difference.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

So these communications to other drivers, do you use all fingers or just one?
