I had a little of the cheesecake and it was very good. I tried to be good and eat just healthy but I couldn`t quite do it. I was glad the jello did hold up and not melt into soup.

Ramona, CA(Zone 9b)

I made the 'MUCH-less-than-famous cheesecake' in the round glass pie plate. Is that what you are asking about?

This is, of course, not to be confused with the 'FAMOUS Sopapilla cheesecake with Pineapple' that Roadrunner made. That was in the square glass dish and was MUCHO delicioso!

Tleaves,

Recipe?

Jasper Co., MO(Zone 6b)

Well, Where's the recipe for round glass pie plate cheesecake? lol.... Pretty! Please!

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

I missed a lot of good foods it seems, I never saw or just overlooked the food I wasn`t giving myself permission to eat. I had a little 1/4 piece of the round glass cheesecake and it was good.

What is the name of the plants that were in the black containers unmarked, I got them all mixed up and I`m not sure who gave them to me, they are toothy long leaves? I am not sure about what their watering routines are and what they are, so I can label them and who gave me stuff in dairy containers, tell me please what they are too? Some stuff looks similar? The Mexican Sage got a little weepy on the trip home but it is still looking fine and blooming but how often do i water it and how deep when i do so i don`t shock them anymore than the trip to a new climate and home? Help Me. I can not plant them until after the 7th when my new watering system comes in or the guys will mess with them. :) Dawn

The leucantha/ Mexican Bush sage has been sitting out in pots in full sun, but is going to need watering til it gets established to be drought tolerant. Can't give you times as to how often, etc. But they don't have a full pot of roots, so unless you can check them often,I wouldn't put them in the ground until there are more roots in pot. Sorry about no labels,I've been negligent lately, brain dead...I did give you verbena rigida which has tough, toothy leaves and small purple flowers. Same story there, drought tolerant once they're established, but will need watering til then. I missed some of that good food also apparently and I'm so sorry now.

Throw the Mexican sage in the ground. I just dug it up the night before. Keep it moist for awhile. It will make itself at home fairly quickly. It may be so annoyed that you need to cut it back and let the new growth come up. I thought I would try to bring the whole thing-blooms and all.

The red hot pokers can be divided into corms and put into the ground as well. Spread them out. They get bigger. You can divide the sage as well. All of the plants that I gave you were in full sun.

oooh I reread the post. The pokers have been in the pot so they will do fine. Keep the sage watered until it can go into the ground. It will be fine.

This was once a stick too!!

Now that's what I call a salvia! Beautiful, Janice.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Wow Janice that is so gorgeous. Sherry thanks for the heads up to because i was getting confused and I know I grabbed a thing or two on the table that was left over too so I wanted to keep all the water needs straight.
Anyway I thank you both for your prompt answers, so I guess i know which ones Donna gave me than too.

Here is the cheesecake recipe. Enjoy!!

Creamy Cheesecake
Makes: 1 pie

This lemony cheesecake recipe comes from southern Louisiana. The cheesecake is baked 3 times as the layers are added. Start by preheating oven to 350 degrees. Let the cream cheese come to room temperature before mixing.

Crust:
1½ c Graham Cracker Crumbs
1 T Sugar
1 Stick Butter

Crumble graham crackers. Mix in sugar. Add melted butter and mix. Press mixture to a 9” pie plate to form the crust. Bake for 5 minutes at 350.

Filling:
1 Lg. Pk. Cream Cheese
1 Sm. Pk. Cream Cheese
½ Cup Sour Cream
1 Tsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs
1 Pinch Salt
¼ Tsp. Cinnamon
½ Cup Sugar

Blend the first 5 ingredients together with a mixer. If cream cheese is cold, microwave for 5-10 seconds. Mix the dry ingredients together and then add to the mixture. Blend all until smooth. Pour into the baked crust and bake again for 20 minutes @ 350.

Topping:
1½ Cup Sour Cream
3 Tbs. Sugar
1 Tsp. Vanilla

Blend all together and pour over cooked filling. Bake for 5 minutes @350. Allow cheesecake to cool before serving.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

thanks it was good.

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

It doesn't call for lemon juice?

Thanks,
a

Orange, CA(Zone 10b)

Arlene, I was about to ask the same question. You beat me to it.

TLeaves, thanks for the recipe. I only had half a spoonful of the cheesecake but I was hooked.

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

Maybe the cream cheese just gives the illusion of lemon. I liked it because it was creamier and softer in texture than some cheesecakes; like a pie. Will definitely try it.

I already made the lovely salad with the feta cheese in it; it was delightful and refreshing..

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

uh oh....a multi paragraph recipe ! I don't cook anything that has a recipe longer than one paragraph. ! Is there a book called "Cheesecakes for Dummies" ???? LOL

BAKING ??? WHAT's THAT ???????

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

Made the Fiesta Salad for friends today - thanks, Sherry!

OC, CA & Twin Lakes , IA(Zone 4b)

Just your mentioning that salad makes me hungry for it again (and I had to eat the whole thing myself as DH didn't care for the feta in it).

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

LOL, Arlene, that's why I never make it at home......Same way with Lemon Meringue Pie...if I make it I have to eat the whole thing myself. Darn !!

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

For real she looks like a beautiful angel, deep in thought. Was she nervous? I love that dress btw. It was an outdoor wedding?

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Outdoor evening wedding, absolutely wonderful. She was unusually calm and looked just like a model. Ok, here's me with son escorting me.

Thanks guys, nope, no problems. Just a memorable day for all. They are now on their honeymoon in our motorhome staying 3 nights in Carpinteria and then north up the coast for a week and a half. I am so jealous, they're at my most favorite camping spot ever. So many memories with all the kids there.

Rosamond, CA(Zone 8b)

Gosh your family is gorgeous. I told you before that is my favorite and impossible beach to get a resrvation at these days for the late summer. I`m turning green as we sit.

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

Wow, weeg....Beautiful girls... didn't know you had so many, I would love to have had even one daughter! And handsome guys. I didn't add them up...do you have any left to marry? They're in my favorite area, too....should we all go visit them?

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

The oldest, the youngest and my son are single. Thank you everyone, just wanted to share our special day with my friends.
Nick and Andrea will be spending the last weekend of their honeymoon at Carpinteria and I am going up to spend Friday night with them...they invited me!
