Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

This time of the year I will sometimes play with my computer graphics program using my iris pics. I'd like to share some of that work with you. Let me know what you think.

Margie - what program do you use?....Those are really neat - I really love the one that looks like the top of an apple pie that's woven.

Nashville, TN(Zone 7a)

Very cool. You should print these using a really good printer on quality paper and sell them. They're as good or better than many art prints I see.

Very, very cool Margie! I agree, you should print them. You did awesome!

Sioux City, IA(Zone 4b)

I like the crisp colors of number 2 and love the chalk drawn look of #5

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

Looks good Margie

We have a thread in photos on that. Nancy(Nap) would love to see a few I bet

Thanks all. :-) Maybe I should learn what's involved in printing them. Does anyone know?

diamndsnjns, I use Paint Shop Pro. It has all kinds of effects and filters. You can combine them, change them, whatever one dare's to try. Really fun!

bigcityal, thanks for the link........................ what a fun link! I'm going to have to see what else is going on there.

Here's another.

Hi IRIS,
You're from the other link, aren't you? Your name happens to be my favorite flower, as well as the name of one of my aunts. I'm glad you stopped in. How long have you been using PSP? I do like your flower and butterfly "re-creation" which I've seen on the other link.

#4 is MY favorite. Wouldn't it look great on cards or labels when you send around your New Year's notes or January seed swaps????

Greenville, SC(Zone 7a)

Hi Margie, I'm all over the place on Dave's lol. I've only been using psp for about 2 years I think on and off, Thanks for the compliments, The weaved design has a bee on the flower with the butterflys closing in thats why it says 'What a nightmare"" lol. I like to try all the different options on psp but still have not learned how to do them all, But, I'll keep trying!!

Iris - - that is so lovely! I'm so glad you posted it here.........................especially since it is an iris! :-) It is so neat to see what computer graphics can do with a photo.

Here is another one.........................if an iris were to grow fur...............this is what it may look like.

Joshua, TX(Zone 8a)

Margie, LOVE these a lot! Tell me how you obtained your Paint Shop Pro software and is it self explanatory or is a manual needed?
Thanks bunches, ~~~ Carol

Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks Carol.

We bought ours at Office Max several years ago..............but I'm sure you can buy elsewhere and online. It does come with a pamplet filled with instuctions, but...........I found overall that many of the effects are easily understood/self-explanatory.

Let me show you a couple more of this iris art:
