This is what 'Puccini' would look like if it had green markings instead of purple, and having blue shoulders. (sort of)

margie, All awsome!!! I especially like #22 and #25!!

Blythe, CA(Zone 10b)

Well gosh darn you Margie, did you have to show off something else, that now I'll have to have ? It's bad enought you showing me all your beautiful irises !

Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

Hi Betterbloom!!

Actually - - I'm just playing with the "effect tools". Anybody can do it. 'Photo Shop' and 'Paint Shop Pro' are great programs to have during the winter months - because one can still be busy with the irises, but in a playful way - no stress!!

And they have all these cool effects you simply click on (that you can mix and match) to create any look you want. It's a sure way to chase any winter blues away!

Speaking of the blues......................

Thanks for the info. I'll try it out.
I need to check out Adobe Photo Shop something that my son seems to think is better and will probably be needing something like this in the near future to purchase.

The 'blue' looks excellent!

Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks, Iris and Nancy. :-) The more I play with these effects the more I find.

Carol............. and..................anyone else for that matter,

There is a FREE graphic program you can download on line. It is almost as good as PSP and you can become familiar with the effects by using it until you either get something better or decide this program will do just fine. I've downloaded loaded it, not too long ago, just to see how it works. and it's safe to download and run on your computer.

** For anyone who is wanting to know how this FREE graphic program works (that you can get online) ..................here is a sample of something I just did using THAT program.

Joshua, TX(Zone 8a)

Absolutely beautiful!!! Gonna hunt for some of those.

(Zone 6a)

Nice Iris are Margie! Aren't those programs alot of fun? I really like #8, it looks so smooth!
I sometimes use photoshop elements.

Steven

Joshua, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes, #8 is fabulous. What style is that called?

Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

Thanks. Number 8 is from PSP7 using a "plug-in" named LAQUER.

~Margie

Oro Valley, AZ(Zone 9a)

This plug-in LAQUER has a "dice" feature that takes the 11 adjustable effects options AND 2 color options and give you many, many effects.

Here is another one using the LAQUER plug-in.

This effect, ONLY changes the background (but uses the original background colors). It's called SPIKEY HALO.

The iris remains untouched.
