The last roundup

Henderson, NV(Zone 9b)

Here's the final roundup of blooms before the onslaught of summer. Some of these cacti may stop blooming now as their main blooming time approach it's end, while others may continue to bloom here and there throughout the summer.

Thanks, Kaleem! Glad to share.

Thanks, Betsy! Most of them I don't know the names to, but most are Echinopsis hybrids. I'll put some close-ups soon.

Thanks, RUK and Patti!

Thanks, Chantell! If you're talking about the one on the table, it's E. 'Fangri-la'. The one on the bottom in the first picture, I don't know the name to, but it's an echinopsis hybrid.

Thanks again, Dave!

I'm going to add some close-ups. Some were not in the above roundup because they bloomed a day or two later, but this one was in the above photo. I don't know the species name, but it's a lobivia hybrid (echinopsis hybrid). Small clustered body that bloom profusely with magenta flowers.

ahhhhhhh!!!!!

Henderson, NV(Zone 9b)

LOL, Chantell. Don't know the name to this one. I called it "chubby" because it was short and fat. Now, it's long and laying down on it's side. Should probably call it "lazy" or somethin' now. Was this the salmon colored one you like?

Trent,
THAT'S it!! It's just such a wonderful color!! Seems like there are always yellows and pinks (not to take away from their beauty)...so something like this really stands out. What a great shot!!

Mesilla Park, NM

Outstanding Trent,
Just love all your cactus flowers..

Tucson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Trent you are King of the Cactus Blooms! Gorgeous!

Plumiedelphia, PA(Zone 7a)

Nice collection Trent
I am envious... almost

Henderson, NV(Zone 9b)

Thanks, Chantell. I'm starting to like cacti that have odd color flowers also. Something that's less common.

Thanks, Antoinette!

Thanks, Jen! I wish. Actually, in my yard, the cacti are kings and queens. I just serve them well sometimes and this is my reward. lol

Thanks, Michael! Don't be. Just enjoy!

Henderson, NV(Zone 9b)

Here's an unknown beauty. Echinopsis hybrid of some sort. If you grow this one in partial shade(some morning sun), it seems to be more bi-colored. If grown in full sun, it'll be mostly red.

Very nice contrast between the pink and red coloring!!

Henderson, NV(Zone 9b)

Trent,
You're kidding me?!!?? I thought "maybe" you'd adjusted the contrast a wee bit - I have to do it with some of mine so it actually looks like what my eyes saw...LOL Wow!! I'm impressed....beautiful colors!! I think I have an Epi rooting that if I remember correctly had that type of pink/red contrast...hmmm, can't wait!

Plumiedelphia, PA(Zone 7a)

Thats why I said 'almost' heh... ;^)
I dont get jealous or envious.
I am able to enjoy and be excited at others blessings
Awesome show there!!

Cramlington, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

These are simply stunning! What a collection. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Henderson, NV(Zone 9b)

Thanks, Chantell! I thinks the colors are even more brilliant on the real flowers than in photos. Yes, I've seen epis with similar colors before too. They're stunning.

Thanks, Michael! I'm just kidding. lol

Thanks, Sue! Glad to share.

Got some more that were not in my roundup photo. Will post soon.

Plumiedelphia, PA(Zone 7a)

WOW!!
I have that to look forward to also!!
WOO-HOO!!

Henderson, NV(Zone 9b)

Hey, Chantell, I think it's kind of bright and cheerful. It had several flushes like this this year. Flowers are small but plentyful.

Hi, Michael. Rebutias can be prolific bloomers if grown with plenty of light. They come in many colors also.

Trent

Tucson, AZ

Hi Trent :-)

Have the same Rebutia, don't know if it's right but was marked Rebutia krainziana. Beautiful caramel colored flowers.

Franj

Henderson, NV(Zone 9b)

Hi, Dave.

I always thought that R. krainziana has reddish flowers. Don't know if they have an orange form or not, but there is a less common yellow form also. Is your's orange also?

Trent

In the mean time, here's Parodia crassigibba, the purple-flowered form.
