Yeah that's where I thought that was going.
One of the sites I work it is a mental health institution and I have a key and go in their play areas and am worried they might bum rush me - no smokes tho - that's what they mainly want.

Those places are tough - I feel bad for them. At the same time, I don't have a lot of patience for them either
This place - which is a county facility looked like a nice normal biulding when they were putting it up -until they got to the end and put the fences up. Not high security really.
Here's your music reference for the day, the sign says 'long term care'
which reminds me of the Doors song 'Five to one' - you have to finish the punchline.
no one here gets out alive...
winner!
sad, but funny - my perfect joke
LOL
Hi All, the party pooper is back, in a better mood today.
Today was much better. Much less dust, noise and I solved a problem that concerned me. I usually work in nice, clean, quiet homes. This is very different and stressful.
I also don't like to have to 'fix' the mess the "lowest bidder" did to a fine antique house.
I found some original wallpaper behind some woodwork today, too. Cool.
I'm still no good at trivia, though.

Hey Andy,
what do you do for a living?
I have a drywall project I need advice on - do you do that?
Al
Al, I'm an interior painter (plain or faux).
What's the question?
I am drywalling over a wall and have to either cut out for the door frames or put the frames on over the drywall and figure out how to add on to the frame for the new thickness.
Not my field, But.
If you have a table saw, rip a piece of pine to the thickness of the new wallboard. Remove the existing woodwork, tack in the pine, flush. Put up the wall board then reattach the original woodwork. That will look much better than having the new wallboard flush up against the woodwork. Paint.
I've seen this done with professional results. I've not done it myself.
Andy P
Thanks Andy,
kinda what I thought. This project is a thorn in my wife's side, me I'd rather be outside away from it.
Al
Hey Andy!
I've done alittle painting in my day I would like to share with you just to see what you think. That is if you care to see my amateur work?
Any time GREN.
The first word that comes to mind is not allowed on DG.
Do you need a job?
I love it!!!!!!
Andy P
I would love to paint for a living...
I have had offers but people seem to think I should do it for next to nothing and I don't think so.
It means alot to me that you like it.
It shows a good imagination with a great application.
It's not easy to get a buiz started, you need a portfolio to show to prospective customers.
Take pics of everything you have done so far.
Do a few jobs, for free if you have to, and take pics to get started.
Figure how long each job takes. An hourly rate. Then double it.
Andy P
LOL thanks for the advise.
Can I make them do the prep work? I realy hate that part, I'd realy rather not have to do it...
I would love to see your stuff.
Hee Hee, now you guys know why I can't spell, I use the other half of my brain....
I see the world in bright colors, and I have not had an ounce of training.
Sometimes I can paint how I feel better than I can talk about it.
OMG I thought the girl was good with the shovel and the manure last weekend but she has a talent with a paint brush too. I have an apartment that needs a coat of paint Dena.
Your daughter's room is awesome. She has to be thrilled with your work.
*blushing hard*
Mit,
I think Vanessa is so used to me painting everything in my path, she just thinks her room is "cool"
I don't know if you want me to bust loose on your apartment, I tend to be alittle crazy with the paint brush, and you would have to supervise...lest you end up with an aray of Irises all over that apartment of yours.
Very nice Dena - you should be very proud!
I do have the patience to paint, but only with off white.
Your colors and patterns look great.
Thank you Al, I love paint, its the coolest thing, I can change my mind without breaking the bank. If you don't like it, paint it again!
Hey Al, That drywall job is a winter, indoor job. Do it soon, get it out of the way. (Keep the wife happy, too.)
Yeah that's what I've been saying for years now!
Dena, That is fatastic. I had my wife peek in (Anita). She said to tell you she is inspired and paticularly likes your sun.
Hi everyone. Finally got my hands on the computer after son, daughter, then wife.
Dave
Ok - move over Dave - my turn at the PC!
All I can say is WOW - I so appreciate anyone that has the talent to paint. My heart and soul can feel it, my hands don't want to cooperate. Andy - send Dena a link to your website! Too bad the two of you don't live closer together, you could work together!
Al - if you need some more 'construction' work, you are more than welcome in my home!
Hi everyone!
Andys work is awsome! (wicked cool!)
Andy is awsome!
I wish we were closer too, I think we would make a bang up team!
Just think of the millions we'd make!
LOL! I just noticed how awful my selves look, full of crap!
And the babyproofing on the cabinet doors and the child locks on the outlets, all the junk I don't want my sons to get into way up in the baskets!
its no wonder I don't have much company at my house! Its horrible!
Even my dancing hampster is in the shot!
Sorry you all had to wittness that! I must be so used to it, I only just noticed.
Hey, Andy. I'd like to see your website.
Dena, You're getting a late start! HD training?
Dena, We all know you have several selves but none of them look awful or are full of crap!
Your to kind Dave (to kind) but the evidence is right there!
Come on what 33 year old self respecting woman has a dancing hampster, among her milk glass collection!
