The winter garden is looking good, but I have had to water it alot--

My garden was an 8+ until Katrina hit. 90 MPH winds do wonders for a patio garden (NOT) ! After the hurricane I'd rate what as left at a 3. Ivan did the same thing the previous year but I didn't get the opportunity to save anything since I was hospitalized prior to and during Ivan. The hurricane outlook for 2006 isn't changed much from 04 and 05, just more of the same :-( !!!

My garden was great is 2005 even through I lost a lot of lilies due to no snow cover. The summer of 2005 was just great for a change. Not too cold and not too much rain, but enough. Can't remember when I had so many bumble bees and butterflies. I'm praying 2006 will be just as good, but????

The year of the quackgrass! It all had to be hand dug.
