Have you had frost yet?
Zone 6b and on 10/16/23 still harvesting tomatoes, okra, peppers, lima beans, green beans and a few blackberries. Some of the blackberries canes suddenly bloomed again a few weeks ago which is strange and are just now ripening.
Snow last night
Zones 5, and we've had weeks of unseasonably warm weather. The light frost we had earlier didn't kill anything and all the hanging baskets and pot are still blooming. I expect a very wet winter due to the melting of the ice way up north.
Polar Vortex ripped through East Texas the last few days...lows of 15 deg. F and highs barely above freezing. Garden is fine with cover crops, broc, cabbage, carrots, beets, onions, etc.
How about 2’ of snow
Just West of the South Gate of Yosemite Park. Forecast of 17 inches of snow last night, but this morning there was only about 5 inches (although it's coming down pretty heavily).
Still, it's better than last year when we had 12 feet!
Zone 7b/8. A little cooler due to hurricane Helene. Temps in 70’s but rising to med 80’s. All my flowers are still blooming and growing strong.
