Are you growing vegetables this year?
We have always had a "traditional" veggie garden but are experimenting now with raised beds for garlic, onions and very successful sweet potatoes.
I had in-ground veggie gardens fore years, however as I get older, I've found raised beds are easier to care for and very productive. I have 5 raised beds this year and am very happy with the results.
Some years it's difficult to get motivated. Wildlife walked off with so much of last year's produce. Though disappointing there's something compelling about growing food from seeds. So when spring rolled around I started putting seeds and seedlings in the ground and can't stop. I'll be planting the fourth succession of cucumbers today. The older I get the more I appreciate growing vertically.
