Wow what a neat site John. You are so good at finding those.
My DB was missed by 2 blocks when that one went through OK in 1999.
He was attending Texas Tech whe that one went through Lubbock in 1968, or 1969. That one made all the stadium lights at Tech into hair pins. DM & DD were in Oberammergau Germany and got a call through to him before I could from El Paso.
I am glad to see there is very little action west of the Rockies.
Will e-mail pictures of house across alley if you want.
We have Timuccan Creek 4 blocks NW of here and the Trout River 4 blocks NE of here. I thnk that protects this area from Tornadoes traveling SE.
Does that make sense?

Arroyo Grande, CA

Very good site. It says it is foggy here, and it is quite foggy. It also says it is going to continue to be forggy for the next week or so, and it will be.

Arroyo Grande, CA

Actually the station location in the East Village of Arroyo Grande is about a mile away and not quite as foggy as here which is closer to the ocean. It is the original settlement in the valley and the old-timers were more clever about where the good weather was, probably taking their cues from the people who were already here and had had about 10,000 years to figure out where the good places were.

Weeds and shredding the pickings are on tap today. HOA has scheduled a subdivision walkthrough in about a month with stern letters to follow for the non-compliers.

Every day my mom writes she says that they need rain in western PA.

Millersburg, PA(Zone 6b)

Yes, we need rain in a large area of Pa. The showers moving east skirt the top counties and New York State - or - they go south through the southern counties, Maryland and Virginia. It is very dry in the middle of the state.
Temps were 96 degrees by 12 Noon, very humid, little breeze. It's corn growing weather!

We rain so badly in Ohio, too! I'd dance in it if we got some. It's another sunny, hot-hot day here. A butterfly's discovered the hummingbird feeder outside our window, and I'm sitting here in the A/C like a bump on a log, watching through the glass. There's quite a breeze out there, but he just keeps hanging on. The hummingbirds keep flying up, but deciding the butterfly's just a little too weird to deal with. Off they go again.

I gave everything a good watering today along with doing some fertilizing. I sweat oodles, but it really didn't feel all that bad outside. We usually have a nice breeze up on our hill and that keeps us cooled when we're outside. I need to drink a bunch of water now...Though I do weigh in tomorrow morning...Hmmmmm.... =)

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Hi 99, lo 71, dp 70, cldy, e9. Numerous popup storms nearby.

HEY DARIUS.....You just caught my attention about the TS's!!! I had minor dental surgery yesterday early and just kinda' napped through the rest of the day. Looks like the Cape Verde season started without me! LOL

I don't know why the weather channel pronounces it VERD. According to a friend that is from there, the E is pronounced making it a two syllable word.

Thanks for the heads up!
