I am so happy that so many want my excess. Last year, I threw away hundreds and hated doing that, of course that was before Dave's.
Again, bear with me, I got a great response to this offer. I'm trying to get them out this week, but please know, you'll get yours.
Another thing, please include your Dave's screen name so I know who you are!
Thanks for the wishes for my daughter, and yes, I love Joe like my own son. It's been a rough year for Elizabeth but with prayers, she pulled through.
I can't beleive what a wonderful family Dave's is, I want to meet all of you and hug you and ask you to pull weeds in my iris garden!!!! Hey, we're friends, right!
If I cashed your check, the iris's are in the mail!
Love and kisses everyone, Louise

hanna, WY(Zone 4b)

Hi Louise, wondering if you have any left. I'd love some. grab bag would be great. I'll dmail you. Yvonne

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Got it Yvonne!

Belvidere, IL(Zone 5a)

Just saw this one are there any left? Nancy

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Yep, Nancy, there's plenty.
I'm boxing up and shipping off today! Yippeee.
I got another large order so there'll be more in a week or so. If anyone wants excess, just mail me the postage of 7.70 and I'll get them off to you.
I got so overwhelmed with Dave mail that I can't keep track of who wants what! It's much easier to send me your request in the mail and at this point, it's also easier to do grab bags. Those of you who asked for specific ones, I'll try to take care of that,
but if I don't, please understand.
Thanks so much you guys and happy gardening!

Hi Louise! I'd love to be the recipient of one of your grab bags. Will dmail you. Judy :~)

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

weegie, I though the small priority box was $3.85. where does $2.90 come from? If you have any left, I would love to have whatever pinks you have that will fit in a small box. Please let me know and I will rush postage to you. thanks for sharing.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

I don't know where the 2.90 came from. I'll try to see if I have some pinks for you. I'm going to be digging up a very large order and I'm sure there will be pinks in that one. I don't know my iris's well yet, as this is only my second year in the business, so I'll have to consult my catalog!
I mailed off 8 boxes about a half hour ago to:
Judy
Carol
Leslie
Diane
Jenny
Mich
Susan
Carmen...........
Dee, I wanted to mail yours but didn't know which address to use, the PO box or the street address, sorry, I called you!
I'll get everyone else's out ASAP.
I sprayed weed killer and bug spray in the garden today so I've been a busy little bee. Sweated my
@#* off too! Now it's time to relax and think about what I have to do tomorrow!
Thanks all and I hope you enjoy the iris's. By the way, there may be a little Chino dirt included, hope you don't mind, the nasty little stuff hides and then sneaks out with the rattling around in the planes and trucks! Some of the rhizomes look pretty scary but with dirt, water and a little TLC, they'll be sprouting up in no time. If for some reason you are unhappy with what I've sent, feel free to let me know and I'll make it right? Fair?
Thanks guys,
Louise

Just wanted you to see where your iris's came from.....my pride, joy, blood, sweat and tears!

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

geewheez. that is amazing. I wonder what it's like to be your neighbor. 1. looking at all the pretties 2. having to clean up 'cause the neighbor's yard is so nice!

Southeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Weegie - What a beautiful, weed free, organized garden!! I'm sure your neighbors are very envious!! I just bought some drip hoses, but haven't gotten them in place yet. Hope to have them ready by the time my grab bag box arrives!! Judy

Chapin, SC(Zone 7b)

Oh my gosh! I'm so excited they're in the mail. My first package. Yahoo for Dave's, and YOU!

Thank you!

Leslie

Fayetteville, NC(Zone 8a)

Oh my gosh weegy. How do you keep it looking so nice? Or did you just clean it up for the picture?;^)
I'd die for that many irises. Well, maybe not diiieeee. They are so pretty. Can't wait! Thanks again.
Diane

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Awwwwww, thanks guys. That picture was taken in the spring and certainly does not look like that now. The weeds have gotten so bad.
Yes, the neighbors do enjoy the garden, it's better than the weed patch that was there before. I spent 2 days crawling on my hands and knees pulling weeds and finally decided, this is not a one man job. I have an offer for anyone that lives close by, help me weed and you can have as many iris's that you want! Shall I start a new thread for that one?
This is the land that I grew up on, my mom's house is to the left of the garden, it's on a very busy street and gets alot of attention. It is absolutely spectacular when they're all in bloom. Oh, a family stopped by and wanted to take their daughter's picture in the garden in her communion dress, I thought that was wonderful.
I'll start shipping out again on Monday to all of you who have sent postage!
Thanks guys for saving my babies!!!
Hugs to you all.

hanna, WY(Zone 4b)

Louise, Thanks for the pic. Your garden looks great. I'd love to see it and help you out but I'm afraid I'm not close by. How far are you from Modesto? Can't wait for mine. Yvonne

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Yvonne,
C'mon, Modesto isn't that far!!! I'm 2 miles from the Ontario Airport, I could pick you up!!!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Hey, Louise,
Your garden looks great! Is kind of nice to see other people's garden, to see how and what they have. So you can visualize it all. Thanks for showing your yard to all.
Am looking forward to the grab bag. Thanks for doing this!
Carol

Chapin, SC(Zone 7b)

Carol is right. It's so nice to see other folks' gardens. How about if we all post a pic of Weegy's iris in their new homes in our yards so we can see where they ended up?

Belvidere, IL(Zone 5a)

I'll put the postage in the mail today. Thanks Much

Nancy

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

OOOOHHHHHH, great idea! I would love that!
Ok, Nancy, gotcha!

OK, I'm starting on another big order today, 250!
I will have plenty of these left over too so give me a few days to dig these up, get this order off, and then I'll get everbody's off to them. And then I think I have another big order coming in too. This has been a good year for me and I'm so glad to be able to share with you all.

If anyone wants some excess, just mail me the postage of 7.70, your address and screen name and I'll take care of the rest. The Dave's mail is just too confusing!

Wish me luck on my big order and thanks guys so much.
Louise

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Louise, are you putting in more named iris that you ordered from growers. At least that is what I get from your e mail?

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Louise,

Got mine today you are wonderful!!!

Hugs,

Judy

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Louise, my wonderful grab bag of your lovely Iris arrived safe and sound. I had so much fun looking up pictures to see what I have to look forward to. Thank you so much for sharing your bounty with me. I will certainly post a picture when they bloom! Thank you, smwaaaaak-big kiss on the cheek, and a hug to boot! You are a doll. --mich

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Whoo hoo! I'm happy you're happy! Enjoy and the ones that aren't marked will be a surprise to you.
Thanks for letting me know and hugs and kisses right back at you. And you are very welcome!
Yes, Maxine, there will be named ones, although most of them are named, these will be all named and a little fresher than the last bunch. The last bunch sat around for awhile but they'll be fine.
Let me know what you want.
Louise

Chapin, SC(Zone 7b)

Hi Louise,

I got mine today. Thank you! I'll send a pic of their new home as soon as the new bed is dug. ;))

Leslie

Can they stay in the newspaper in a cool place for a few days?

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Geez, Louise,
THANKS!
I just got your irises today. What a package! I received 16 irises!!! Not bad for $7.70 and your hard work. Thanks so much.
I just finished looking up the names. Wow, what a choice you sent!
I will e-mail you about a couple names tho. A few were kind of shrivelled up on the leaves so couldn't read them.
Thanks again for sharing with us all!
Carol

Western, WI(Zone 4a)

Louise, I have already sent you my list of what I wanted from your list.

Thanks in advance for the lovely iris. Will be looking forward to receiving them and putting them in the garden. so much to look forward to this coming spring.

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Your iris's will be fine and you don't need to wrap them in newspaper. Just put them somewhere out of the sun and they'll be fine. Those have been out of the ground for over 3 weeks, but they'll flourish for you. You are all so very welcome and those that haven't gotten yours yet, you will. My DH and I just dug up another 150 yesterday so there will be more, and then there's another 100 to dig up today.
You are very welcome Maxine!
Carol, send me what you think the name says and I'll try to tell you the correct name.
Enjoy everybody!
And I do want pictures of their new homes!!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Look what ednawaitsme sent to me! It's a great addtion to the garden. I was going to take a picture of the garden at this time, but was too embarrassed about the weeds. In due time, it shall be clean!
Thanks so much Sheila, can you see it?!?!?!?
Does that picture look blurry?

Louise, I think it is very pretty in your yard, however it is a modest gift for your generous gift of iris. I sent one to Wanda too, and she said she really liked hers too. I know it wasn't much, but I did want to convey thanks. Thought that counts right?
